EA Play: Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order – 15 Minutes Of Gameplay Revealed
During today’s EA Play Live Stream, EA revealed 15 minutes of uncut Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order gameplay.
The gameplay takes place in Kashyyyk, on a mission to restart the Jedi Order and it takes them to the place. The rookies have been enslaved by the Empire whose basically siphoning the planet for all its resources to build up the Imperial War Machine.
Combat
The gameplay footage demonstrated a great ton of Light Saber combat, where you deflect, hit and even throw your Saber at the enemies. Successful combat unlocks certain skill points, the details of which, weren’t revealed in the gameplay footage. You can even pull your enemies like Pudge from Dota 2.
Enemies have health bars and there will be occasional boss-fights, including minor and major bosses. There’s a skill point counter on the top-right corner of the screen. And yeah, there’s some slow-mo sequences as well.
Droid Assistants
It seems you carry a droid assistant on with you which helps you clear paths, interact with objects and more. It even helps you open locked doors.
The Force
What is Star Wars without the force? The force can be used to force pull, push and even interact with the environment. It can slow down certain moving objects as well allowing you to progress through the level.
Light Sabres
Other than fighting enemies, light sabres light up the way allowing players to pass through the dark adding an extra layer of depth in the gameplay.
Maps
The droid assistant on your back will beam a holographic map in front of you while you are in the game. This does away with the traditional press a button and open a map on a different screen.
