The most anticipated game in the last 10 years is finally making its way to our consoles. But, before GTA 6 comes out in 2025, Rockstar made sure to tease its fans with a fantastic first trailer. We have waited for at least a decade and now we’re here. But, the biggest observation we made on the trailer is that GTA is seemingly poking fun at real-life events and making viral memes and incidents a reference in the game. Let’s take a look at every parody that GTA 6 trailer 1 featured.
Alligator in the pool
Alligators being spotted in the suburbs or residential places isn’t exactly breaking news in Florida. The state is inhabited by more than 1.25 million gators so it’s not surprising to see one even in your own backyard. Well, GTA 6 trailer 1 had a perfect reenactment of a viral alligator encounter a couple of years back.
In 2021, the animal was found chilling in a pool that shook the homeowner. Eventually, the authorities responded and tried to hoist the reptile away from the pool and the people.

Karens are all over the world now, but California once had a more dangerous form of Karen in the past – Susan. In 2020, a TikTok video featuring an enraged old lady brandishing two hammers quickly went viral.
She appeared to be dangerous as well as racist, urging her neighbor to “return to Mexico”. GTA 6’s reveal video did not let this one pass either. This real-life reference in the reveal video is definitely my favorite. Will she be in the side quests?
Alligator paying a visit in a local Walmart store
Another alligator experience? As I’ve said, gators aren’t new to Floridians. However, there could be times these animals try to bring their A-game to public areas.
10 years ago, a 6-foot alligator was spotted crawling around a local Walmart in Florida. Again, it’s just another day in the office for the people from Florida.
The Florida Joker
A heavily tattooed man who seemingly resembled the fictional character “Joker” made headlines after being arrested for a concealed-carry firearms offense. Lawrence Sullivan, the offender, was called the “Florida Joker” because of the way he looked. He’s got green hair and even had the words “Joker” and “F*** Batman” tattooed on his body.
Sullivan is a Miami criminal who has had multiple run-ins with authorities prior to his arrest in 2022.
The naked neighbor
Ah, yes, the Florida Man! GTA 6 did not forget about the sensational neighbor who went viral many years ago. The iconic guy in the picture was reported by his neighbors for causing a scene because he was doing things on his lawn while he was naked.
The cops responded to various 911 calls, but the man was not arrested because the police couldn’t charge him for anything unless he touched himself. The trailer pokes fun at this hilarious moment in Florida‘s history, one that his neighbors and family will never forget.

Why are women always twerking nowadays? If any, the internet has already seen its fair share of twerking women of different sizes, shapes, and forms. It’s become a nuisance to the point that these women are doing it on top of moving vehicles on a freeway!
Florida Mud Party
Floridians are akin to having parties in the mud because they love Monster Truck shows. The video game trailer also referred to Florida mud parties, because Leonida is just like Florida, duh!
