Fallout 5: All We Know So Far + Release Date Rumor

Time and time again, talks about the long awaited release of Fallout 5 is resurfacing online. But, at long last, Bethesda is confirming the development of Fallout 5. And, as good citizens of Earth, we will be spilling the tea with all of you! In this article, you will find out everything that we know so far about Fallout 5 including its possible release date, platforms, and more.

Cut to the Chase:

  • Fallout 5 Release Date
  • Fallout 5 Platforms
  • All Possible Fallout 5 Locations
  • Will Fallout 5 Multiplayer Become A Thing?

It has been quite long time now since Fallout 4 came out (7 years to be exact). Since then, tons of rumors come out every year thereafter about the official coming of Fallout 5. In Bethesda’s defense, they confirmed that they have already plans on MAKING Fallout 5, assuming that they haven’t started it yet. During an interview, Todd Howard, Bethesda’s director and executive producer, told IGN that the studio has a “one-pager on Fallout 5”. It seems like hint but nobody knows what it means yet.

Hold your horses, mates! Although a new Fallout game is confirmed, we are still doubtful that Fallout’s newest addition is coming anytime soon. Currently, Bethesda has a lot on their plates with big named projects coming out soon like Starfield and Elder Scrolls 6. As we speak, Elder Scrolls 6 is still in the pre-production phase thus a release date is yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, Bethesda’s upcoming sci-fi action RPG, Starfield, is set to be released next year, 2023. Though release dates for Elder Scrolls 6 and Fallout 5 are unclear, we could say it’ll come around around 2024 or 2025. A release in 2024 seems reasonable considering that Fallout 4 (2015) came out 7 years after Fallout 3 (2008). Since Starfield and Elder Scrolls 6 will appear first as Xbox Game Pass games, we expect Fallout 5 to be the same.

As we all know, Bethesda is now owned by Microsoft, which also happens to be the owner of Xbox. If our assumptions are correct, the new Fallout game should be exclusively available on Xbox (Xbox Series X and S) and PC. However, a PS5 release could still happen.

Fallout 5 is the next installment in the award-winning video game franchise, Fallout. Those who have played the game have already experienced the nuclear wasteland in the game. More so, all of the places featured in each installment were set in a distinct American state.

(1997) Fallout: Southern California
(1998) Fallout 2: West Coast (California)
(2008) Fallout 3: Washington, D.C and Northern Virginia
(2015) Fallout 4: Boston
Fallout 5: ???

There have been rumors that Fallout 5 could take place in New Orleans or Chicago since both cities were hinted at in previous games. However, we have never seen the game outside of the US yet. Will Fallout 5 be the game changer this time?

WILL FALLOUT 5 MULTIPLAYER/CO-OP BECOME A THING?

Every mainline Fallout entry featured single-player gameplay. The only Fallout game that featured a Multiplayer mode was the Fallout 76. Unfortunately, it didn’t pan out. Some players would like to think that a co-op mode would be better than a multiplayer mode. Although, this scheme is still not out of the equation.
