Square Enix recently revealed the release date of its 2D Remaster of Final Fantasy 4. The release will be on the 8th September 2021, and it will arrive on both PC and mobile. This new version will be on the Steam platform for PC. It will have various modifications as well improvements from its former version.
- The 2D pixel art style for this version has been modified and designed in such a way that it accommodates modern hardware. Its iconic soundtrack has also been incorporated.
- Various reports have indicated that the work done by Square Enix is very thorough and remarkable. According to reports, the work of the soundtrack was under Nobuo Uematsu himself.
More Improvements
Additionally, Final Fantasy 4 Pixel Remaster also got improvement to the gameplay. Players who use “controllers, a more modern user interface, and auto-battle options”. These updates are to facilitate a more fluid combat experience for the players. Some other improvements made to the game include improving the quality of life in the game which includes extras like a bestiary, a music player; and the ability to save to the game at any point in time.
Players using PC can pre-order Final Fantasy 4 and avail 20 percent discount. Additionally, they can get their hands on two limited edition wallpapers alongside specially rearranged three remixed tracks from the series; namely, The Red Wings, Battle 2, and Final Fantasy 4’s Main Theme. Furthermore, Square Enix will release more remasters for Final Fantasy 5 and Final Fantasy 6 but the release dates of the same are TBA.
