- The players must keep an eye on several security monitors in a room. They can only view one monitor at a time and keep an eye on the suspicious animatronics in the store. The animatronics don’t move while the player keeps an eye on them, but if they fail, the animatronic suddenly appears in the room and kills the guard.

The much-awaited Universal Studio horror film Five Nights at Freddy’s stars Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games) as Mike Schmidt, the security guard. Meanwhile, Matthew Lillard (Scream) and Mary Stuart Masterson (Blindspot) will also appear as the story’s antagonists.
- Previously, Warner Bros. studios expressed their interest in producing the film along with Roy Lee of Vertigo Entertainment (The Ring), Seth Grahame-Smith, and David Katzenberg of KatzSmith Productions (Pride and Prejudice and Zombies).
- The project didn’t lead to fruition, and series creator Scott Cawthon announced restarting its production from square one in 2017. He has remained attached to the film throughout, and now the film will release in theaters on October 27, with a simultaneous release on NBC/Universal’s streaming service Peacock.
