Fortnite Cryptocurrency Scam; Epic Games Issues Warning

“This is a scam,” says Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney after hearing the news of accounts promoting Fortnite cryptocurrency.

Individuals are capitalizing on the success of Fortnite both inside and beyond the video game industry, so it’s no surprise that there are a lot of people trying to take advantage of it. In the latest incident, Tim Sweeney himself discovered a fraud that was taking place on Twitter, and he alerted his followers about it. Despite the fact that Fortnite cryptocurrencies do not exist, it appears that some users are attempting to sell them.

According to the CEO, the company’s team of lawyers is already on the case and working to stop the scam. Sweeney concludes by expressing his displeasure with such behavior.

Clearly, we can see that Fortnite doesn’t have cryptocurrency, but it does have fresh content due to the launch of Chapter 3 Season 3. Some of the skins for iconic heroes like Indiana Jones stand out among several surprises obtained by the popular battle royale. There is also a new biome, wild boars and wolves to ride, and the bolonchos have re-appeared. Make sure to finish quests in the current season of Fortnite

If you are one of the players who are yet to complete the quests for this season, make sure you wrap them up before June 4. This is because all unfinished quests and unobtained rewards will disappear once Collision begins. To recap, the quests for the current season are as follows:

• Prowler’s Special Quests
• Obtaining all Omni Chips so you can unlock the Omni Sword pickaxe
• Trade-in Battle Stars to obtain special rewards

However, Epic Games clarified that unused Battle Stars can still be used for the next season. But as for collectible Bars and Omni Chips in Fortnite, they will automatically disappear if they aren’t used once the Collision event goes live.

On the other hand, players can use the Bars for the upcoming Bargain Bin Week. In this event, trade in your Bars for rewards at discounted prices. Fortnite’s Bargain Bin Week begins on May 31, 9 am ET. Players can get Exotic items through the Bargain Bin Week so make sure you don’t miss out on this event as well.
