Fortnite has released the latest update called ‘Wilds’. In this Chapter 4 Season 3 update, Fortnite is taking their worldwide fans back in time. This update comes with a new biome, new weapons, and what fans have been waiting for, ridable Raptors.
The raptors in Fortnite are added as a new mechanic in the update. You can see them lurking around in the newly added jungle biome. These vicious dinosaurs are ready to attack players in Fortnite unless you are able to tame them.
Where To Find Raptors
To find the raptors, you need to go to the jungle biome. It is located in the middle of the battle royale island.
You are able to go straight to the area from the Battle Bus at the start of the match. Or you can go to the nearest biome to find some loot first, so you are armed and ready when you face the raptors. The choice is up to you.
How To Tame and Ride Raptors
Yes, we are aware that you are eager to ride the ferocious yet adorable raptors! But be patient, as dinosaur trainers in the movies say “Steady, steady”.
Before you are able to ride the raptors, you do need to tame them first. Here’s the step to befriend the creatures:
- Locate them lurking inside the jungle biome.
- Once you located them, you can either go straight to them face-to-face. However, this will make them aggressive and try to attack you.
- The best option for you is to sneak up behind them slowly.
- Simply jump onto the back of the raptor.
- Try to avoid their attacks first if they end up attacking you.
- Once you are on their backs, you are now able to ride them.
It’s as simple as cutting tomatoes right? But what if you can’t find the lurking raptors? Luckily, Fortnite has thought of this issue and they made another option for the players to be able to ride the raptors.
If you can’t find them, try this:
- Look for eggs that are randomly placed in the jungle biome.
- Once you find a raptor egg, you can then nurture the egg.
- It will hatch in no time, once it is hatched, the raptor will instantly become tamed and you can ride them anytime.
Be mindful while you are trying to hatch the egg. Make sure that you are safe from enemy threats first because it does take a few seconds to hatch them.
