Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 is almost here. The new season of Fortnite is arriving this September, which means the current season only has a few weeks left. Although there is no official announcement yet, here’s what we know so far about Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4.
Recently, the Fortnite community has been talking about the possible overall theme of the upcoming theme. These are all based on leaks and rumors, so take the information you read here with a grain of salt.
Fortnite Season 4 is possibly a “throwback” of all the iconic things in the game since its release
- The fifth anniversary of Fortnite is coming up and it’s timely that the anniversary takes place once Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 releases. With that being said, one notable Fortnite data miner has taken to Twitter to discuss the possible theme of Season 4.
- HYPEX took to Twitter and asked the thoughts of their followers about what Fornite Chapter 3 Season 4 will be like. Most of the speculations recently talk about updates coming to the game. Since HYPEX is no stranger to data mining, they shared that Epic Games has been updating some past game files over the past few weeks.
People are speculating that S4 is full of throwback due to the fact that it starts around BR's 5th birthday and Epic updating some stuff like Planes, Mechs, 50v50, Storm King, Shockwave Launcher, 2 Marvel Mythics, Spy Games, Old Chapters' Relics/POIs appearing & more..

- In their tweet, HYPEX revealed that Epic Games is updating things like 50v50 and past points of interests (POIs). This supports the theory of Fortnite Season 4 focusing on being a throwback of the past features in the game.
- HYPEX also notes that things like Spy Games and Marvel Mythics have been updated. This means that Epic might decide to take a trip down memory lane for the latest season.

- However, other fans pointed out that it may be impossible for Fortnite to pull this off. How would they be able to connect this to the current story the game is following? As of now, Fortnite has focused solely on the Reality Tree and how the reality of everything it touches gets altered.
So if ever these theories of the upcoming Season 4 is a throwback for Fortnite, we’d love to see how Epic executes this.
At the moment, the Reality Tree is the center of the game’s storyline
- Every time there is an update in Fortnite, they usually end it with a bang. Right now, the Reality Tree is responsible for a lot of things going on in the game. Even though this season felt like it lacked in aspects like map changes or collaborations, we’re looking forward to the season finale.
- One thing players should keep an eye on before the season ends is the Reality Tree and its Roots. Although we don’t know much about the origins of this tree, most players assume that the Zero Point is behind this.
- And now that we’re approaching the end of this season, nothing is slowing down the Reality Roots. One of the significant effects the Reality Roots has on the map is transforming Logjam Lumberyard.
- Right now, the Lumberyard has become the Logjam Lotus. Here, players also note that the place is constantly changing. So it’s likely that the Reality Roots will do something again before the current season in Fortnite comes to a close.
- Another thing that may affect the storyline is the presence of Darth Vader. Since he first arrived, he hasn’t left the Island yet. It’s revealed by The Scientist that Darth Vader is roaming around the map in search of a relic. And if he doesn’t find it soon, he won’t hesitate to destroy the entire map.
So it’s interesting to see how Darth Vader will either leave or be a permanent part of the Fortnite map.
When is the new season of Fortnite coming out?
- Unlike other games, Epic Games usually reveals the release date a few days or even a day before it goes live. But even if there isn’t an official release date, rumors hint that Fortnite Season 4 is arriving on September 18.
- If you aren’t finished with the Battle Pass yet, you should get to working since you only have a few weeks left before the new season launches. We mentioned earlier that the fifth anniversary may be celebrated in the new season.
- This is because Fortnite’s Battle Royale mode was initially released on September 26, 2017. So it will be a missed opportunity for Epic Games if they don’t celebrate the fifth anniversary in the new season.
Of course, these are all speculations since nothing is official unless Epic Games reveals more about Season 4. Another thing to note is Epic Games looks like they’re still continuing the storyline involving The Seven.
What to expect in Fortnite’s upcoming Battle Pass
And as for the Battle Pass, all we have right now are speculations and theories. It looks like we are getting revamped skins of iconic Fortnite characters for the upcoming Battle Pass. So if the theories turn out to be true, then expect new skins for characters like the Black Knight.
Maybe we’ll get new skins for other characters like the Oni since Epic Games recently teamed up with Bungie. In Destiny 2, there are new armor sets inspired by Fortnite characters like the Black Knight and the Oni.
On the other hand, there’s a possibility that Marvel characters are coming back to Fortnite in Season 4. But of course, these are all speculations. So before you believe this information, be sure to take it with a grain of salt.
The only way to know what’s coming in Fortnite Season 4 is if Epic Games releases more information about Chapter 3 Season 4.
