Elden Ring is the latest role-playing game developed by FromSoftware Inc. and was co-written by novelist George R.R. Martin (Game of Thrones) and Hidetaka Miyazaki.
While the game is created to be entertaining, it is also both difficult and time-consuming. Though it seems impossible to finish the game even with hundreds of hours of gameplay, speedrunners seem to have found the best way to beat the game in the smallest amount of time.
Game speedrunners are what we call gamers who instead of exploring and playing around the vast world of a game, find a way to break world records by finishing the game in as little time as possible.
These types of entertainers in the gaming community use different forms of techniques, glitches, loopholes, and sometimes, even cheats. To be fair, these gamers also put in the time and effort to explore and understand the game beforehand.
Just recently, Youtuber/speedrunner Niko Bellic made a record of beating Elden Ring in just 2 hours and 30 minutes!
Heck, I bet you couldn’t even finish creating your character in that span!
To put things into perspective, most people can’t even kill the Tree Sentinel boss in three hours. Bosses in Elden Ring are extremely difficult to beat. They can sometimes make you “rage quit”. And, let’s not talk about crafting, exploring, grinding, and enchanting. All of these would probably take a casual gamer more than a thousand hours of gameplay.
Sooner or later, this record would be broken by other speedrunners. They might even make it to less than an hour or so. But, the game would probably evolve in the future, which is quite exciting.
The game has sparked interest in all kinds of gamers and has been a global sensation since its release. If you’re a fan of the fantasy epic type of role-playing games, this game is just perfect for you. Just try and enjoy the game, will ya?
