HoYoverse has officially released the banner art and character details for Kirara on the official Genshin Impact Twitter account. The 4-star catgirl had been the talk of the community for over a month. Now, with official news fans are finally assured that she will be added to version 3.7 of the game.
Players were aware of Kirara’s existence in the game ever since she was leaked in early 2023. She was initially rumored to be the “Dendro Catgirl” from Genshin Impact. She quickly developed fans as speculation suggested her to be a 5-Star Geo bow user in the game. However, leakers later clarified that she will be a 4-star Dendro character from Inazuma.

Diversity back on track
It seems that ever since the Sumeru update, HoYoverse has forgotten about characters from other regions. Moreover, The units released after version 3.0 were mostly from Dendro land. The recent Mika release was a break to their cycle and finally, with Kirara, their diversity will be back on track.

Kirara is expected to release in Genshin Impact 3.7. From a quick calculation of 42 days patch duration, it can be obtained that the update will roll out on May 24 at 11 AM (UTC +8). She is expected to be on the version’s featured banner alongside, 5-star character reruns. The following tweet shares some additional information about the rerun banner for the patch.

As for the official Genshin Impact news, they have shared her complete artwork that highlights her in-game design. Her blonde hair, green eyes, and blue attire are prominent in the shared splash art. Moreover, HoYoverse has revealed her characteristics as follows.

They further described her as the “Cat Upon the Eaves” which compliments her ‘Cat-girl’ aesthetics. Her designation will be “Gold Level Courier of the Komaniya Express.” Additionally, her constellation name is shown as “Arcella”.
Kirara has been declared to be a Dendro 4-star character
Ever since Kirara has been data mined, she has been the hot talk in the Genshin Impact community. She was initially revealed to be Momoka the “Geo Catgirl”. However credible leakers soon clarified that she will be a Dendro unit on release.

The official tweets have solidified her element and rarity status. She will indeed be a Dendro 4-star character in the game. However, her in-game potential and abilities are still unknown. Based on some old leaks she might be a shield user in the game. But for now, fans will have to wait for the version 3.7 update to hit the live servers to learn more about her.
