Genshin Impact: How to Cross-Save Easy Guide

MiHoYo has announced that along with the massive incoming update for Genshin Impact 2.0, they will also be introducing the cross-save feature.  This will allow the players to save their progress across all their devices and link their PSN and miHoYo accounts using the same E-mail address.

Being as popular as Genshin Impact is, this is huge news for the fans as it would make it very convenient for them to keep tabs on their progress using any device, at any given point in time. So, if you save your progress on your PSN device, you can easily resume it from say, your Android device. But how exactly do you get it to function? Don’t fret, we are here to help you out.

Cross-Save Your Progress Now!

You just need to connect your PSN and miHoYo account using your E-mail address. For that just follow the given steps:

1. Log in to “Genshin Impact” on your PlayStation gaming consoles
2. Go to Settings > Account > User Center
3. Click on Link Account
4. Connect your PSN Account

It’s as simple as that but like every other good thing in the world, there is a minor issue with it.

The Catch

Players who have already played Genshin Impact on their PlayStation consoles will not be able to link another account to their PSN account because you can’t delink the pre-existing account. So if you have already logged into your PS device before the update, you’ll have to create a separate E-mail Address on one of them i.e. PSN or miHoYo.

Also, players cannot use their PSN account to log in to “Genshin Impact” on PC, iOS, and Android devices. For accessing it on these devices, you’ll need to log in with your miHoYo account only.

“You can only link an existing miHoYo account from this pop-up window. If you skip the pop-up, your account for PSN will log in to the game and register a miHoYo account, after which it can no longer be linked to an email address that is already associated with a separate miHoYo account,” miHoYo said.

Apart from this, it’s a feature that most players must have been waiting for. If you haven’t already logged into your PlayStation devices or are willing to create a new E-mail Address, this is a really cool feature that will make the experience easy for you.
