Genshin Impact Invites Elon Musk: “Can’t wait to be in Genshin Impact”
Very recently, Elon Musk surprised the world with a tweet. A tweet that referenced Genshin Impact, and that he was going to in Genshin Impact! Genshin Impact players have been attempting to pull the 100-billion-worth owner of Tesla and SpaceX. Musk has an immense impact on users on Twitter. This is especially prevalent by the impact his tweets on cryptocurrency and the Signal messaging app had in recent times.
miHoYo had also been a part of this campaign, setting milestones and rewards in the usual way, but involving the billionaire enthusiast. When the primary account of Genshin Impact reached 2 million followers, a challenge centered around an in-game character Ella Musk was part of the celebrations. This new character has its own Twitter account and is an obvious play on Elon Musk.
The challenge was to increase the number of followers on this character’s account, and milestones reached would initiate an action from miHoYo.
- For 500k followers, Genshin Impact was to be renamed Paimon, after the official in-game guide.
- 1M followers gained would lead to Genshin Impact’s Twitter account following Elon Musk’s account.
- 3M followers would result in Musk getting an invite to play the game!
- If 5M followers were reached, CEO Dawei was to invite Elon Musk to the headquarters of miHoYo!
Elon Musk actually responded to the challenge, stating “Can’t wait to be in Genshin Impact”. However, it seems that members of the game’s community were not all that impressed with this move by miHoYo, and the challenge was quickly removed from the official Genshin page.
