Genshin Impact: Third Party Account Not Yet Registered, miHoYo’s Statement

BY Rajnandini Barman • 5 years AGO • 2 MIN READ

The players who wanted to play Genshin Impact on their PS5 consoles have faced an error when they have tried to log into the game. The error stated, “Third Party Account not yet Registered”. If you face this error, what it means is that your PSN account and your miHoYo account are not linked. But if you have already linked them, there is nothing to worry about.

Players on other platforms such as PC or even other consoles such as the PS4 are not facing any such problems. The Japanese Genshin Impact account had addressed this problem in a tweet; stating that there is a problem with the servers of PSN and Sony. Moreover, they request players to patiently wait while the issue was being resolved.

“Thank you for reaching out to us. We apologize for the inconvenience of this situation. We have been made aware of a login issue on the PS5 version of the game, the PS4 version seems to not be affected. Our teams are currently looking into it right now! Thank you for your patience and your comprehension. Best regards, Genshin Impact Support Team.”

There has been an official statement on the HoYoLAB platform that players will be notified through the in-game notice and on community channels once the error has been resolved. As the PSN team works to permanently fix this issue, there does not seem to be much that players can do. Some players are already able to log into their games and begin their gaming routine.

As Genshin Impact has the cross-save option, players can also enjoy their game on another platform until they are able to log back in on their PS5 consoles.
