Helldivers 2: Chargers | How to Beat
Chargers, the Terminid faction’s bruisers, aim to disrupt and scatter your squad, leaving you vulnerable to their smaller allies. Mastering Charger takedowns is crucial for Super Earth’s defense. Don’t worry, even on Medium-difficulty Extermination missions, you can handle these brutes with the right tactics.
Charger Behaviors and Where to find
- True to their name, Chargers charge headlong at players upon detection. They can even deflect some projectile attacks.
- You can mostly encounter Chargers in Challenging and above difficulty levels.
How to Beat
- Facing a charging Charger can be stressful, but stay calm! Your first priority is to lure it away from your teammates.
- Timing is key. Dodge its charge at the last moment, not too early, to avoid being caught off guard.
- Utilize your surroundings. Lure the Charger into obstacles like boulders or walls to stun it momentarily. For powerful damage, call down an Orbital Strike.
- With teammates, coordinate an attack. One player can draw the Charger’s attention (take aggro) while the others focus fire on its exposed back, its weakest point.
- The most efficient way to deal with Chargers is to target their legs with RPGs. This breaks their armor and exposes their vulnerable flesh, making them much easier to take down.
Weakness:
- Target the exposed fleshy area on its back, its weakest point.
- Alternatively, focus fire on its legs to break its armor and create an opening.

Weapons to use:
These are recommended weapons, but feel free to adapt based on your arsenal. Remember to prioritize its weak spots for maximum efficiency:
- Railgun
- SG-225 Breaker

- RPGs
- Grenades
