The official TikTok account for the Wizarding World revealed more information about the kinds of customizations players can get up to in Hogwarts Legacy. The video posted a few days ago focused on what you can do to your broom in Hogwarts Legacy, like upgrade or customize them. They also shared information that every aspiring witch and wizard should know on whether you can buy different broomsticks in the game. Stay with us!
TikTok reveals what you can do to your broom in Hogwarts Legacy
A TikTok posted on the official Wizarding World account answered questions fans had for the upcoming Hogwarts Legacy game. The main question asked in the posted TikTok is “Can we buy different broomsticks [in Hogwarts Legacy]?“

- In the 15-second clip of a wizard riding on a broomstick in Hogwarts Legacy, they answer the question with a yes and no. Unlike in the Harry Potter books and films where the wizards can purchase different broomsticks, this won’t be available in the upcoming game.
- However, you can upgrade your broomstick to make it more versatile in the wizarding world. The TikTok reveals that players can visit a broom shop in Hogsmeade where players can purchase “various cosmetic alterations.”
- The shopkeeper is hinted at being a researcher. To earn upgrades for your broom, you will have to help them with his research by completing missions in the game. Aside from that, not much information has been revealed but we’d like to believe that you can upgrade things like the speed and durability of a broom.
- The female VA for the main character recently uploaded a post on Instagram hyping her followers about the game’s release next month. In her caption, she briefly hints at one of the ways players can die is by falling off their broom. You may be wondering how this will be possible. Well, we’ll just have to stick around and find out next month when the game is released!
Can we play Quidditch in the game?
Unfortunately, the popular sport in the Harry Potter stories is not available in Hogwarts Legacy. On the game’s official website, the devs have made it clear that wizards and witches cannot play Quidditch. The main purpose of a broom in Hogwarts Legacy is to get around the large open-world map faster and easier, hence the ability to upgrade them.
Here is what the devs had to say about it:
“Quidditch is not playable in Hogwarts Legacy. However, broom flight for traversal and broom race challenges are part of the game. Players can also fly brooms to explore new and familiar locations surrounding Hogwarts Castle.”
Still, there’s no harm in hoping that Quidditch may be added to a DLC or expansion pack for Hogwarts Legacy. But for now, wizards and witches can only use them for races and as a means of transportation.
There is no information yet about the upgrades and cosmetic customizations you can do to your broomsticks. Hopefully, they would bring more excitement to the very ambitious project from Avalanche Software and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.
