The main voice cast for Hogwarts Legacy has just been announced and we couldn’t be more excited for its release! Some of the key members of the cast include Simon Pegg and Luke Youngblood. Cast members for Hogwarts Legacy
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Avalanche Software have announced the voice cast for their upcoming game, Hogwarts Legacy. Any details about the cast have been heavily kept under wraps until today. In the latest video uploaded to the game’s official YouTube channel, they revealed the character Simon Pegg will be voicing in the open-world RPG.
Here are all the cast members for Hogwarts Legacy as well as which character they will be voicing:
Simon Pegg as Headmaster Phineas Nigellus Black
Undeniably one of the most famous cast members in the game, Simon Pegg will take on the role of Hogwarts’ Headmaster. Unlike Albus Dumbledore, this Headmaster has a bad reputation among students.
- Phineas Nigellus Black comes from a long lineage of Slytherins, which partly explains his snobby and rude attitude toward everyone he meets. Both students and staff know that he is not suited for his job as he does not have the passion compared to Dumbledore. Black would rather focus on his status and looks instead of being a hands-on Headmaster.
Sebastian Croft & Amelia Gething as the Playable Avatar
Sebastian Croft and Amelia Gething will voice the main character in the game, depending on how players will customize their very own wizard. The main character will be a fifth-year student who enters Hogwarts for the first time.
Lesley Nicol as Professor Matilda Weasley
Famous for her roles in both the series and film for Downton Abbey, Lesley Nicol takes on the role of Professor Matilda Weasley. Remember how Avalanche would tease about the Weasleys being in Hogwarts Legacy? Well, it looks like Professor Matilda Weasley will play a key role in the story of the game.
She is the Deputy Headmistress who belongs in Gryffindor. Ah, the classic Gryffindor vs. Slytherin trope in anything Harry Potter-related.
Kandace Caine as Professor Onai
Are any Call of Duty fans looking to get their hands on Hogwarts Legacy? Kandace Caine voices Nila ‘Nova’ Brown in the games. This time, we’re going to be hearing more of her in action as Professor Onai, a gifted Seer and Divination teacher at Hogwarts.
Sohm Kapila as Professor Satyavati Shah
Professor Satyavati Shah is a professor of Astronomy at Hogwarts. She was raised in the Muggle world, further fueling her passion and devotion for the sciences. Because of this, she tends to talk down to her students, making her quite an obnoxious professor to have.
Luke Youngblood as Everett Clopton
Remember Lee Jordan in the Harry Potter films? Well, his actor is making a comeback in Hogwarts Legacy. This time, however, he will play a Ravenclaw half-blood who has all sorts of tricks up his sleeves. We’re more than excited to see what sort of shenanigans we can get up to with Luke Youngblood in Hogwarts Legacy!
Asif Ali as Amit Thakkar
Another Ravenclaw in the key cast of Hogwarts Legacy is Amit Thakkar, and he will be voiced by Asif Ali. According to the official description of his character, Amit is someone who will not think twice to help a friend in need. However, he always ends up realizing that he’d be better off reading about adventures instead of experiencing them first-hand.
Adam O’Connor as Mahendra Pehlwaan
It seems wizards from the Ravenclaw House are at the forefront of this Harry Potter-inspired open-world RPG. Mahendra Pehlwaan is a muggleborn Ravenclaw student. Similar to Hermione Granger, Mahendra likes to stick by the rules. Heck, even the professors themselves wish for him to not play by the rules from time to time.
Jason Anthony as Nearly Headless Nick and the Sorting Hat
Any game set in Hogwarts is not complete without both Nearly Headless Nick and the Sorting Hat. Expect Nick to behave the same as the ghost we met in the books, films, and other Harry Potter games.
- In his character’s official description, it seems you need to do something for Nearly Headless Nick in order to solve a vital mystery during your stay at Hogwarts.Â
- As for the Sorting Hat, it will still do its duty of sorting aspiring witches and wizards into the Houses where they will thrive.
Latest updates
Thankfully, the game looks like it won’t run into any more delays. The game will come out on February 10, 2023, for players on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. As for players on last-gen consoles (PS4 and Xbox One), they will get the game on April 4, 2023. The last console to get the game will be the Nintendo Switch on July 25, 2023.Â
Despite all the controversies surrounding the game’s release and its connection with J.K. Rowling, Hogwarts Legacy is the best-selling game on Steam.Â
