A fan on Reddit found DLC in the website code of Hogwarts Legacy
After details of Hogwarts Legacy were revealed back in Sony’s State of Play presentation a few months ago, there have been no updates so far about Hogwarts Legacy.
However, Reddit user u/opalelement took to a subreddit dedicated for video game leaks and rumors. Here, they shared what they found after messing with the website code of Hogwarts Legacy. You can check out the official website here.
In u/opalelement’s post on the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit (crossposted from r/HarryPotterGame), they shared what they discovered in Hogwarts Legacy’s website code.
- Thestral Mount
- Dark Arts Cosmetic Pack, Dark Arts Battle Arena, and Dark Arts Garrison Hat
- 72 Hours Early Access to the Game
- Kelpie Robe
- Steel Case
- Floating Ancient Magic Wand with Book
Additionally, the Reddit user explained that they could not find any references of these items online. So it’s safe to say that this information has not been released by Avalanche or Warner Bros.

And on top of all these items, the website code also contains labels of “Digital Only” and “Digital Deluxe Only”. Similar to other game releases, this points to Hogwarts Legacy having different kinds of versions available for purchase.
It’s also worth noting that the website code contained “72 Hours Early Access to the Game”, which is more likely going to be available for players who pre-order Hogwarts Legacy.

Avalanche/Warner Bros. removes the data from the source code of the website
After the Reddit post got Redditors and gamers excited for possible DLC in Hogwarts Legacy, u/opalelement updated the post after inspecting the website code again. Unfortunately, the data is “no longer visible in the page source.”
Luckily, the Reddit post is still up and there haven’t been any updates from the Reddit user about the game devs or publisher asking them to take the post down.
The game will not have any microtransactions
When news first broke out about this Reddit post, some fans’ worries are whether Hogwarts Legacy will have microtransactions or not. Fortunately, Chandler Wood dismissed these worries in a tweet from March 18, 2022.

Wood is the community manager for Avalanche Software now under Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. He tweeted out this information after their State of Play showcase in March.
There is no official release date yet for Hogwarts Legacy aside from a December 2022 initial release. But we’re already looking forward to all the game has to offer.
Hogwarts Legacy is soon available for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows.
