The only thing gamers love more than their favorite games is gaming tournaments of their favorite games. E-sports have grown exponentially in the past few years and now have even been added to Asian Games and possibly the Olympics in upcoming years. In India, E-sports is a fast-growing market and now E-sports’ awareness and popularity are rising rapidly. Keeping that in mind, some young players are representing the country in this year’s E-sports World Championship Finals.

This year’s Esports World Championship is a non-virtual event in Israel. This is one of the first non-virtual tournaments ever since the pandemic began. The city of Eilat is the host which has welcomed over 500 E-sports athletes from 85 nations traveling for the championship.
It has a massive prize pool of USD 50,000 and features 4 main games – DOTA 2, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Tekken 7, and eFootball™ 2022. It also features one promoted title called Audition. The championship began on 16th November and will go on till 20th November 2021.
To boost the esports ecosystem in India, many big companies have joined hands with the E-sports Federation of India (ESFI) to support the Indian Team. These include MPL Sports Foundation and the international sportswear brand from Bata and POWER.
