The Netflix venture of Charlie’s Angels star Cameron Diaz got stalled over conflicts on the set. Diaz was five years into her retirement from the film industry when Jamie Foxx convinced her to come back in the big-budget project Back In Action.

However, the project recently halted its production over an alleged plot to steal $40K in an elaborate scam that led to Jamie Foxx’s meltdown, police investigation, and crew members’ leave.

A source revealed the ongoing troubles on the sets of Cameron Diaz and Jamie Foxx starrer Back In Action to The Sun. The film is in jeopardy after police were called to investigate a $40,000 scam. As per the sources, a crew member of the film made some offers to Jamie Foxx involving a Rolex watch. However, it was allegedly a planned attempt of stealing money from the Blame It rapper.

This incident adds to the previous issues on sets on Netflix’s Back In Action. The film had to suffer many delays during its shoot in London due to the chilly weather. The recent and rather ‘more sinister’ scam only added to the hardships.

The Netflix film was supposed to bring back The Holiday star Cameron Diaz from her retirement. She officially retired from Hollywood in 2018 to focus on her family and only came back when Jamie Foxx, with whom Diaz worked in 2014 in the musical-comedy Annie, persuaded her to return.

However, the unstable atmosphere of the project and 10 hours of shooting is disturbing Diaz. According to a Daily Mail source, the actress may once again retire from the film industry as she’s having a difficult time getting back into acting.

Moreover, the insider emphasized that this has nothing to do with Jamie Foxx, who recently had a big meltdown on set and asked three people to resign from the film. Diaz likes being a mother more than anything else and she also hates drama and confrontations. These were one of the major reasons behind her previous retirement as well.

This is why, Cameron Diaz may once again retire from the film industry after completing this ongoing project. However, the film’s fate isn’t looking promising after the revelations of a $40K scam. As per The Sun, Netflix administrators also reached out to the film producers after discovering attempts of similar scams on the actors.

Fans and insiders are contemplating the box office fate of Back In Action. Some believe it depends on the police investigations regarding the scam. Others argue that the bitter second retirement may even favor the film sentimentally. Meanwhile, the cast and crew are just hoping for a good wrap.
