In a recent blog posted by EA Games on their website, they confirmed that they are finally adapting cross-platform or cross-play gameplay for FIFA 22.
Fans have been asking in the past when will FIFA 22 have cross-play. Well, now, we got our answer. But, not to shake anybody’s trees, the cross-platform play for FIFA 22 is still under the “testing stage“. Also, the testing will only be limited to FIFA Online Seasons and Online Friendlies mode.

As informed, players will be able to enjoy the game with other players on different platforms like PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Stadia. Although the game itself is also available on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One, a cross-play for the said platforms is still not confirmed.
How To Activate Cross-Play
If this test is activated, enabling the system will be just a piece of cake. Follow these simple steps for the activation:
- Go to the FIFA 22 Main Menu
- Find a widget in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen
- Click the widget with Cross-Play notifications
- After that, choose whether to opt in or opt out of cross-play

An official announcement from EA regarding the commencement of the cross-play is still yet to come out. For more details, follow the FIFA 22 cross-play FAQs (frequently asked questions) here. For updates and the latest news, follow EA’s Twitter account @EAFIFADirect.
