5) TWICE Momo and SUPER JUNIOR Heechul
If not the most, one of the most controversial K-pop idols who were in a relationship happened to the K-pop industry a few years back. Momo and Heechul’s relationship was publicized in January 2020. Before announcing it to everyone, the two denied their growing romance. It became one of the most hated relationships because of the pair’s age difference — Heechul was 36 while Momo was 23 at the time.

After a year and a half, the idol couple chose to separate ways. Some fans rejoiced while others were heartbroken to know that Momo and Heechul had broken up. In 2014, Dispatch revealed the couple had been dating for four months already, through a series of photos of the SM Entertainment idols.

The two were reported to have known each other for over three years. Over a year after Dispatch’s revelation, the Girls’ Generation and EXO members called it quits. The two K-pop idols who were in a relationship broke up due to their hectic schedules, with back-to-back performances and comebacks. Despite the end of their relationship, Taeyeon and Baekhyun were believed to be on good terms with their sunbae and hoobaes connection.
