Lizzo makes an appearance in recent The Mandalorian episode alongside Jack Black

A still of Lizzo and Jack Black in The Mandalorian Season 3

Lizzo made a cameo in the latest episode of The Mandalorian along with everyone’s favorite music teacher, Jack Black. The pair played a wealthy couple overseeing a planet called Plazir-15.

The episode included some fun Lizzo-Grogu moments, concluding with Grogu getting knighted by the About Damn Time singer. The installment contains some action-packed sequences between the Mandos and some rouge droids, ending with a surprising twist. Fans believe the show is slowly progressing towards The Force Awakens timeline, showing how imperialism returns to the world of Star Wars

Lizzo plays a Duchess, Jack Black plays Captain Bombardier

The episode named Guns for Hire begins with Din (played by Pedro Pascal), Bo-Katan (played by Katee Sackoff), and Grogu arriving at an independent planet in the Outer Rim, called Plazir-15. They are welcomed by the Duchess and Captain Bombardier, played by Lizzo and Jack Black. The couple leads the planet in a semi-democratic way.

Captain Bombardier is a former imperialist, who joined the separatist group after falling in love with the Duchess. Due to this, the couple is unable to arm a military and needs the Mandalorians to deal with some malfunctioning battle droids.

Din and Bo-Katan decide to investigate the issue, while Grogu stays back with the royal couple.

They find the droids in a droid bar called The Resitor, discovering that robots are being sabotaged by the planet’s commissioner, Helgait (played by Christopher Lloyd.) The team battle and capture Helgait, and he is later exiled by the Duchess and Captain. In return, the Mandos receive the key to the planet from the couple.

During this time, Grogu spends a fun day with Lizzo’s character. He helps her win a ball game with his powers and also receives head scratches.

A big Star Wars fan
