Marvel: Hawkeye Jeremy Renner Update – Will he be able to walk soon?

Hollywood actor Jeremy Renner is almost inseparable from his identity as Hawkeye from Marvel. At the beginning of the year, the 52-year-old star suffered a near-fatal accident in the snow. His condition was critical for quite some time but stabilized after intensive care. But how much has he recovered, and will he be able to walk soon? Here is an update on Jeremy Renner’s post-accident health as shared by the Marvel’s Hawkeye star himself.

Jeremy Renner’s health update

On his Instagram and Twitter accounts, Jeremy Renner shared a picture of himself from a physical rehabilitation session. In the caption, the actor revealed that 30 of his bones were broken in the accident.

  • Jeremy Renner also thanked his fans, friends, and family for their thoughtfulness during this difficult time. He spoke about how the year started off with a tragedy for his entire family.
  • Marvel’s Captain America star Chris Evans sent love to his Hawkeye co-star on Twitter and jokingly asked if anyone has checked on the snowcat, the vehicle that injured him.

Snow plow accident

A New Year storm hit the US which resulted in heavy snowfall across many states. Jeremy Renner had used his own snow plow to rescue one of his family members stuck in the snow.

  • The Hawkeye actor saved the other person but as he tried to get back into the vehicle, it started moving on its own. The extremely large equipment ran Renner over and almost fatally injured him.
  • Jeremy Renner had to be airlifted after having blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries. For days, he remained in critical care until his condition stabilized.
  • The accident shocked the entertainment world and Marvel fans. Only after he shared an update on his social media accounts, fans were able to breathe a sigh of relief.

Future as Marvel’s Hawkeye

Jeremy Renner’s snow plow accident casts a large shadow over his future as Clint Barton AKA Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Hawkeye has been an integral part of the Avengers.

  • He’s one of the only three existing members of the Original Six Avengers along with Thor and Hulk. Hawkeye was expected to play an important role in Phases Five and Six of the MCU, especially after getting his own Disney+ miniseries
  • However, given the intensity of the accident, Jeremy Renner would require months to return to his acting career. Marvel films demand heavy stunts from their superhero stars, and it’ll take a long time for Jeremy Renner to recover enough to play Hawkeye.

Mayor of Kingstown posters

Jeremy Renner’s most recent acting work is the second season of the TV show, Mayor of Kingstown. In the original promotional posters, Renner’s face was bruised and bloodied.

  • Now, the studio executives have changed it out of sensitivity to the actor’s snow plow accident.

We wish a quick and healthy recovery to Jeremy Renner as we eagerly await his return to Marvel as Hawkeye.
