MCU Phase 5 is beginning in February this year. Actors Emilia Clark and Olivia Colman will be featured in upcoming projects. Aside from that, there are intriguing casting rumors, including one of music’s biggest stars, Harry Styles.

Confirmed Actors For MCU Phase 5

MCU is known for its planning, so it is only a matter of time before details about Phase 5 are revealed. However, MCU did reveal some of its new movies and actors during Comic-Con International in San Diego last year. This new phase starts in February 2023 and is packed until the Summer of 2024. We can hardly wait for it. Therefore, let’s take a look at all the confirmed and rumored actors part of MCU Phase 5.

1. Emilia Clarke

Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke will appear in the Marvel miniseries Secret Invasion, in which she will play an undisclosed role. The series will star actors like Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelson, and Don Cheadle, to name a few.

2. Maria Bakalova

Volume 3 of the 2014 movie Guardians of the Galaxy is also part of Marvel’s Phase 5. The movie will release in 2023 and feature Maria Bakalova. She will play the role of Cosmo the Spacedog, who is sent to space by the Soviet Union.

3. Olivia Colman

Another addition to Secret Invasion is Olivia Colman. In the trailer, we see her playing the role of a friend of Nick Fury, played by Samuel L. Jackson. She is famous for her roles in Peep Show, Fleabag, Twenty-Twelve, and Accused, among others.

 

4. Chukwudi Iwuji

Chukwudi Iwuji, famous for his role in DC’s Peacemaker, will be featured in the Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3. He will play the character of the High Evolutionary. Fellow actor Chris Pratt revealed in an interview that Iwuji’s role will be one of the most complex characters.

 

5. Bill Murray

Phase 5 of MCU will start with the release of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. While Paul Rudd will play the lead role, Bill Murray will give tough competition as the antagonist.

 

6. Michaela Coel

British actress Michaela Coel famous for her roles in I May Destroy You and Chewing Gum, will appear in the movie Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. She is part of the cast since 2021 as Aneka, who trains the female warriors in Wakanda for special forces.

7. Kathryn Newton

Along with Bill Murray, Kathryn Newton will also star in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. She has done a variety of roles in projects like The Society, Supernatural, Hold and Catch Fire. In this movie, she will play the role of Scott Lang’s daughter. Emma Fuhrman previously played this role.

8. Tenoch Huerta

The Mexican actor Tenoch Huerta achieved worldwide fame with his role as drug lord Rafael Caro Quintero in Narcos: Mexico. Now the actor is ready to join the MCU clan with his role in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever as Namor. He is the prince of a kingdom that is under the sea and also a superhuman who defends his species from people trying to exploit them.

Rumored Actors Joining MCU Phase 5

The broadcaster Emmet Kennedy Tweeted the potential seven big names signing with MCU for Phase 5 in Sept. 2022. Those seven are John Boyega (Star Wars), Henry Cavill (Man of Steel), Jodie Comer (Killing Eve), Daisy Edgar-Jones (Normal People), John Krasinski (The Office), Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad), and Denzel Washington (Malcolm X, Man on Fire, and dozens of more classics).

  • Along with these, Harry Styles will allegedly re-appear in MCU. While speaking to Deadline during the Crew Call podcast, Marvel Studios VP of Production & Development Nate Moore said that they didn’t cast Harry Styles to show up at the end of one film, hinting towards his possible return to MCU.
  • Apart from that, according to a Reddit moderator team, their trusted source claims the rumor of the Stranger Things star Sadie Sink joining MCU. If she appears in the franchise, then she would be along with David Harbour and Shawn Levy in joining the MCU from Stranger Things.
