Who’s the mastermind and has always been a master of surprises? Yep, she’s done it again. Four previously unreleased songs to drop just in time for the kickoff of Taylor Swift’s highly anticipated tour, The Eras Tour. Swift announced the news on her Instagram Stories on March 16, sending Swifties into a frenzy of excitement.
Taylor Swift recently released her Midnights album where the famous ‘It’s me. Hi, I’m the problem, it’s me’ originated. What are your thoughts on hearing this live during one of her concerts? Let’s get into details with Taylor Swift’s unreleased tracks, rehearsal photos, and The Eras Tour below!
Taylor Swift, the mastermind (of unreleased songs)
Just ahead of her The Eras Tour, Taylor Swift knows how to get everyone’s attention and hearts. And certainly, know how to surprise her fans. Before we jump into the stadium tours, let’s take a moment to let four previously unreleased songs sink into our Swiftie souls. From Speak Now, to The Hunger Games, and a new track — Miss Taylor Swift, you really do know how to get us, huh?
Eyes Open and Safe & Sound: Re-recorded for The Eras
Fans of The Hunger Games movie franchise will be thrilled to hear that Taylor Swift has re-recorded her dual contributions to the 2012 soundtrack. “Eyes Open” and “Safe & Sound” featuring Joy Williams and John Paul White are both included in the four new tracks.
- Even more exciting is the fact that this marks the first time Williams and White have recorded together since their highly publicized breakup in 2014. We hope they’re doing great, and we can’t wait to hear these songs!
If This Was a Movie: Taylor’s Version
“If This Was a Movie” was originally released as a bonus track on the deluxe version of Speak Now. It’s been re-recorded for this surprise for The Eras Tour, adding weight to fan speculation that Swift will soon be re-releasing the 2010 album. Maybe in the middle of The Eras Tour, or after? We’ll never know yet!
- When it comes, this follows the highly successful releases of both Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and Red (Taylor’s Version) in 2021. Come on, we know you got something in the bag, Taylor!
All of the Girls You Loved Before: A Brand New Track
The fourth and final track on the list is a brand new song from Taylor Swift, “All of the Girls You Loved Before.” Fans can’t wait to hear what the superstar has in store with this previously unheard track.

Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour: Sneak peek
The Eras Tour is set to begin on March 17 with back-to-back shows in Glendale, Arizona. In honor of Taylor Swift’s arrival, the city has temporarily been renamed Swift City. Fans are eagerly anticipating what promises to be an incredible tour.
- To keep the hype flowing, aside from the four unreleased songs coming, Taylor Swift surprised fans with rehearsal photos. This is The Eras era, and fans are already living for and loving it!
The Eras Tour in the U.S. runs until August 9, 2023. Fans from other parts of the globe have been waiting for an announcement soon. On Taylor Swift’s official website, it writes “International dates to be announced”.
- Hmm, international Swifties should hope for the best for now! Also, we’ll probably get some glimpses of Taylor Swift’s tour when it starts.
