Later, Majesco Entertainment helped Double Fine publish the game on PC, Xbox and PlayStation 2. 15 years later, Microsoft is acquiring Double Fine for over millions of dollars (details on the deal weren’t disclosed).
Double Fine, under Xbox Game Studios, is working on Psychonauts 2. The game is planned for a 2019 release.
