It’s always exciting to try out new MMORPGs. And a number of them are coming out in 2022. We’ve compiled a list of every MMORPG that will be released on PC or cross-platform with PC in the near future.
We stop playing MMORPGs as we become older since they need us to spend time and effort grinding. But we still have a soft spot for MMORPGs, which is why you’re here, looking for a good one to play after work or school.
MMORPG Coming in 2022 – PC + Cross-Platform

ARES: RISE OF GUARDIANS
The official name of the new project in production, Ares: Rise of Guardians, was announced by Kakao Games, who also produced a teaser site and video.
Ares is a vibrant action game with high-quality visuals and a variety of equipment. You can use suits with diverse skills and traits in a futuristic perspective, and engage in strategic combat against formidable enemies by changing your suits. You can also enjoy spectacular play that traverses the ground and the sky with the Valkyrie.
ARTHDAL CHRONICLES
The games Arthdal Chronicles, Solo Leveling, and Seven Deadly Sins: Origin have all been revealed, and they all look amazing. The game will feature a type of action combat system. They haven’t announced whether it’ll be a traditional action game or a hybrid like Guild Wars 2.
This is a direct remake of the 2019 Korean TV series of the same name. The second season as well as the MMO will be released in 2022, three years after the first.
With the addition of new locations and tribes, the game will have a wider universe than previous entries in the series.
The game’s purpose is to instill a sense of competitiveness, with different factions battling for control of regions, resulting in political alliances, wars, and other events.
This means that one tribe will inevitably come to dominate the server. This is a regular occurrence in MMOs.
BELLATORES
The devs will be using Unreal Engine 5 to create BELLATORES, a PC MMORPG with a medieval setting. Survival, adventure, and advancement to large-scale PVP conflicts to seek domination between continents will all be part of the game’s “live-action aesthetics.” South Korean developer Nyou intends to release BELLATORES later this year and we may expect it to be only in the beta version.
BITCRAFT
Rather than focusing solely on combat, BitCraft is a sandbox MMORPG that encourages a wide range of play types, from farming, hunting, and crafting to city-building and social strategy.
Surviving games, sandbox games, role-playing games, city builders, and strategy games are all represented in the game.
You awaken as a mysterious being in the midst of nowhere and must build a home to survive. BitCraft features a skill system that allows you to improve your skills as you play.
You can opt to team up to tame the wilderness and build impressive villages and civilizations all across the world. You can even bring towns together to create empires that span continents and oceans. BitCraft becomes a very social and strategic game at these levels.
CHRONO ODYSSEY
Chrono Odyssey is an online massively multiplayer role-playing game that depicts members of the special organization ‘Idraiginn’ fighting a vast war against 12 gods.
Fans in Chrono Odyssey can explore a massive world filled with intriguing storylines, a vast environment, and realistic graphics.
In addition, you can enjoy unique job systems, maps that span time and space, random dungeons, and many more.
Spike Bong-gun Bae, the CEO of NPIXEL and the creator of DK Online and Seven Knights, is in charge of Chrono Odyssey. It is currently under development for testing in 2021. It intends to release on a variety of platforms.
GRAN SAGA
The epic story begins in the first land, the kingdom of Esprogen. In Ragnadea, innumerable fates and Grand Knights are playing out. The epic of dreaming heroes, with high-end graphics and sound. Gran Saga offers a variety of game options as well as gorgeous music.
Nature’s landscapes, towns and people, and even super-sized creatures are all said to be top-notched. This is a new MMORPG featuring gorgeous characters with a variety of abilities! Explore the wide land and fight for supremacy.
INTO THE ECHO
ETLOK Studios’ Into the Echo is a one-of-a-kind time-travel MMORPG. It is still in the early stages of development and is now accepting pre-alpha sign-ups on its official website.

JUSTICE ONLINE
In Q4 2022, NetEase plans to introduce its martial arts MMORPG Justice Online in a number of new regions. This time in an MMORPG setting, the game is based on traditional martial arts and Jianghu, the martial arts culture.
In China, the game is already available and has gotten a significant update in time for the Lunar New Year. There are nine explorable regions in the game, totaling about 2.5k square kilometers on the map. The most recent update added many new mounts that will aid players on their journey, including the ability to battle, tame, and ride new mounts such as a big spider.
Justice Online is attempting to be more definitive in its inspirations by incorporating MMO mechanics and the explorable world, as well as environments, customization, and a story based on martial arts based on a famous novel.
MAD WORLD

ODIN: Valhalla Rising is an Unreal Engine 4 MMORPG based on Norse mythology depicting a prolonged conflict between mankind, demons, and gods.
Valhalla Rising is a Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game. Motion capture and 3D capture technology provide realistic graphics. Built with Unreal Engine 4 to be more perfect and lovely, and is an open world.
A Nordic Mythology open world with 4 fabled continents, including Midgard and Jotunheim, await you. Different races such as giants, dwarfs, elves, and humans are also available. Defend the Gods’ Domain and experience thrilling boss raids.

PERFECT NEW WORLD
Perfect New World is a free-to-play online role-playing game. It was announced that it will have a totally open world, a hybrid of action and tab-target combat. They will also have a strong focus on PvP like its predecessor, and substantial usage of Unreal Engine 4.
The game features a completely open, sandbox universe that allows you to explore at your leisure, and fight on the land, sea, and possibly air. Dungeons, Raids, and open-world PvP will be available as well.
PROJECT RAGNAROK
NetEase revealed further details about Project Ragnarok, its Norse-inspired RPG, at its annual gaming presentation. Monsters, magic, an open environment with platforming features, and various methods of mobility are all included in the game’s trailers.
While detailed facts are still limited, Ragnarok is undeniably beautiful. We don’t know when is the release date of Project Ragnarok just yet.
We know that a small-scale Project Ragnarok beta will occur later this year thanks to an interview on WCCFTech. This lovely RPG will be available for free. In-app purchases will be available to speed up upgrades and gain character cards.
RISE
RISE is a new Korean MMORPG unveiled by NXN. The company’s previous project was the 2015 action RPG RAVEN. When RAVEN first came out, it won six awards at the Korean Game Awards. In any case, the devs will use Unreal Engine to create RISE, the MMORPG.
The game will be available on PCs, home consoles, and mobile devices. With this initial announcement, it’s unclear whether or not this also entails cross-platform play.
There appears to be a “character collection” aspect to the game, as well as typical strategic fights. What’s odd is that there appears to be an emphasis on esports as well, so we should expect a heavy PVP mode.
THRONE AND LIBERTY
Throne and Liberty, NCsoft’s final game title, was formally announced which is formerly titled Project TL. This MMORPG has been in development for a very long time and appears to be on track for a global release this year. Project TL began as a follow-up to the Lineage franchise, dubbed The Lineage, with the objective of creating a next-generation Lineage game.
As a next-generation MMORPG, Throne and Liberty is for PC and console platforms. In the universe of Throne and Liberty, the atmosphere has been carefully built so that many individuals can continue to have new adventures and have pleasure.
TOWER OF FANTASY
Tower of Fantasy is a portable 3D immersive open-world game from Hotta Studio. It features open-world exploration, and a gritty sci-fi art style with a range of locations, interactive puzzle aspects, and quick action to present a post-apocalyptic story of rescue and disaster.
Low threshold, high depth, high refreshing operating mechanism precisely match the needs of all levels, reckless action might activate the hidden plot, gradually unlocking the secret behind the main tale.
WORLD OF JADE DYNASTY
Jade Dynasty is an English adaptation of Zhu Xian, a popular Chinese MMORPG. Perfect World Entertainment’s game is a free-to-play MMORPG with a martial arts theme, a classless leveling system, and a large item market. The game’s tale begins with the player as a humble paladin seeking immortality’s mysteries, and gameplay is unique to each player, as their choices alter the world around them.
This game features Eleven factions. Choose from eleven diverse Athan and Human factions. Use Affinity Specializations to receive attribute bonuses and unlock Jade Dynasty’s Invigorate system, which allows you to level up overnight, as well as access advanced powers and zones.
Compete in duels, battlegrounds, objective-oriented Territory Wars, and gigantic 225v225 Alliance Wars, or take part in the chaotic Elysium PvP zone. Participate in daily events such as Surfing Deity and the Wonderland Fair, or enter one of six tough instances, such as the 25-person Crimson Peaks.
