Monster Hunter World: Iceborne For PS4 and Xbox One Ships 2.5 Million Units Globally (Includes Digital Sales)
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, the game’s biggest expansion so far, has shipped over 2.5 million units globally. The expansion is not yet available on PC and the statistics are only for the PS4 and Xbox One versions, which includes both physical shipments and digital sales.
Featuring a full narrative experience that continues from the ending of Monster Hunter World, the expansion brings players into a vast new area known as the Hoarfrost Reach. According to Capcom, the series has grown into a “mega-hit”, with Monster Hunter: World achieving 13.1 million units shipped (as on June 30, 2019). It is the first title in Capcom’s history to achieve this record-high, with cumulative sales exceeding 58 million units as of September 13, 2019.
“Capcom remains firmly committed to satisfying the expectations of all stakeholders by leveraging its industry-leading game development capabilities in order to create highly entertaining gameplay experiences,” the company wrote in their latest press release.
IGN rated Monster Hunter World: Iceborne a strong 9 and the title holds a 90% critics rating and 8.6 user score on Metacritic for PS4. The expansion is available for purchase at $39.99.
