Just after the All-Star break, notable names have already suffered NBA injuries that might take a toll on their teams’ future, especially in the Playoffs.
First, Jusuf Nurkic, the Center from Portland Trailblazers suffered Plantar Fasciitis.
Plantar Fasciitis is a common injury in the heel of the foot. Even with the injury, Nurkic has been playing through it since September of last year. The big man will be out for almost a month and will be re-evaluated thereafter.

This season, Nurkic has been averaging an excellent 15 points and 11 rebounds while shooting 53% from the field. The big man is a solid centerpiece of the Blazers, alongside Damian Lillard. With him and Lillard out, the Trailblazers are looking to be out of playoff contention.

Just last March 2019, Nurkic suffered a season-ending injury and most missed of the games in the 2020-2021 regular season.
The second player who suffered another injury after the break was Caris LeVert.
LeVert, the 27-year-old guard from the Cleveland Cavaliers will be sidelined for 1 to 2 weeks due to a foot injury. He has only played 4 games for the Cavs since being acquired through a trade with the Pacers. LeVert is currently averaging 13.2 points, 3.8 assists, and 1.5 steals a night.

He’s been a great addition to a young talented core of the Cavaliers who are currently fourth in a very tight Eastern Conference (36-24). Flashback to 2018, back when he was with the Brooklyn Nets, Caris Levert suffered a gruesome ankle injury. He missed after the incident but was able to successfully recover and still play at a high level.

The Cavaliers are missing most of their key players like Collin Sexton, Darius Garland, and now Caris LeVert. Even so, the Cavs are still looking pretty sharp and could be a lock for the playoffs.
