Who will play Geralt in The Witcher 4 and why is it disappointing?

Not only has the show been unfaithful, but it has also now dared to swap Henry Cavill with Liam Hemsworth. This scenario is a Jumanji of things gone wrong.

- Netflix is notorious for canceling shows after the third season. Given such history, it is ironic that they have found a way to get the show canceled while also simultaneously taking down its new main lead with it, all the way down to hell.

Henry Cavill was a great Witcher. Sometimes you don’t know the value of the things you have until they are gone. He truly knew his character inside out and backward.

We just pretended he was always there. Fans aren’t unreasonable and can take a little speck of reality hitting that productions and contracts don’t always work out. It’s an understandable position. But swapping the main protagonist is not crossing Mexico Border from San Diego. We need a good wall around borders of these kinds. Just saying, you know?
Why do fans feel the continuity of a series end with the main cast swap?
- The primary reason why is that you’ve established the actor as a character. Both their axis merges to become one. Imagine changing Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool in Deadpool 5. Or imagine going “Nah we don’t want you” to RDJ in midst of Iron Man 2 to 3.
- One can also punch themselves to Altered Carbon Season 2. Anthony Mackie tried his hard, but you just can’t reprise the legacy of the previous actor like it’s hitting a fly. Besides flies are difficult to hit.
Liam Hemsworth in The Witcher may actually even prove himself, only if he had a better start
- Besides, it’s not even poor Liam Hemsworth’s fault that no one knows him. A decent role in Hunger Games but that’s about it. Thor’s brother but that’s about it.
- Also when you sleep with Miley Cyrus, marry her, and then you divorce, you just don’t get away. Not without the toxic fans ushering hell shower upon you.
This is finally Liam’s chance at a breakthrough. We don’t know how good he can be because we haven’t even properly seen him. Maybe he will be the greatest Geralt of Rivia, better than Henry Cavill. But there is already such enormous hate surrounding the entire situation. Liam Hemsworth in The Witcher 4 will begin a race that’s awaiting doomsday armageddon any time of the day.

Mads Mikkelsen as Geralt Of Rivia? As it stands, this Scandanavian has a chiseled jaw and can pull the white long-haired look like it’s his second habit. It’s as if he was born to look like The Witcher’s protagonist, albeit a little older. Of course, he isn’t also as bulky as Henry Cavil. But we can do with some less brawns so long as it is someone capable of putting out the killer menace.

If you’ve read the books or even played the games which is okay enough in its adaptations, you know Geralt of Rivia. Netflix’s The Witcher fails in certain regards first of which is Henry Cavill’s hero-like compassion. Geralt is a character than can sleep with witches and kill demons and ghouls for breakfast. Enshrouding his aura is that of a vicious killer, a true Witcher. Henry Cavill may have felt too greek-god and superman at times, for the white wolf.
