Niantic is planning a huge party to commemorate Pokemon Go’s 5th anniversary. Trainers will be able to capture Flying Balloon Pikachu! Additionally, you will have interactions with Shiny Meltan as part of the special occasion! This will commemorate the game’s anniversary. Players will have more than 7 days to capture and activate event-specific Pokemon. Users would not want to overlook this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, as Niantic is resurrecting a few rare Pokemon that were previously only available during special occasions.
Who’s that Pokemon?
- Firstly, the Go Anniversary 2021 celebration is introducing some vintage rare Pokemon! Pikachu the Flying Balloon is the first one to appear. The cosmetic edition flag bearer has long been a big draw, calling for a return since Game Boy Pokemon Yellow from 1998.
- Furthermore, players who trigger their Mystery Box between July 6 and 18 will be eligible to encounter a Shiny Meltan! This is indeed great news for Mythical Melmetal enthusiasts. This is significant because its Shiny version is unavailable for the majority of the year and is only obtainable for special occasions.
- Gamers will also be eligible to obtain the Diamond & Pearl’s Darumaka. Particularly, a shiny variant! Additionally, the Sinnoh critter, like Pikachu, will show up in the wild with increased spawn rates even in raids!
