In this guide, we’ll show you where Pikachu can be found in Pokémon BD & SP. Pikachu is the Pokémon franchise’s mascot, and it appears in almost every game adaptation. There are few Pokémon that are more extensively used and preferred, and you’ll have to go out of your way to find one in Pokémon BD & SP.
Pikachu Location
- Trainers can find Pikachu at a single location in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl: Route 212, in the Trophy Garden of the Pokémon Mansion.
- You may find this location directly south of Hearthome City. Travel all the way down Route 212 until you reach the front of the Pokémon Mansion, where you must enter.

Given the opportunity of spotting it, you’ll most likely encounter significantly more Pikachu than Ditto. The majority of Pikachu you’ll meet in this spot will be in their 20’s. You’ll need a Thunder Stone to evolve it into Raichu, Pikachu’s evolved form, after capturing it.
Evolving Pichu to Pikachu
When Pichu levels up and has a high Friendship stat, it will evolve into Pikachu.
- As you explore and battle with Pichu, it will naturally grow closer to you. You can also get it by allowing it to participate in Contests, allowing it to handle the Soothe Bell, or earning it through a Luxury Ball, among other things.
- The Poketch’s Friendship Checker app can tell you how high a Pokemon’s Friendship stat is. A Pokemon with two hearts is very close to you and has reached maximum Friendship value.
