Rescheduled Jake Paul vs. Tommy Fury Happening August; Odds Revealed

BY JC Paredes 4 years AGO 3 MIN READ

Tommy Fury had to pull out of his Jake Paul fight because of health issues only days before it was about to take place last December 2021. Now it seems the rescheduled fight is happening this August. Will the bad blood between Jake Paul and Tommy Fury be finally over?

The heavily promoted fight between Jake Paul and Tommy Fury was set to take place in December 2021.

However, Tommy Fury had to withdraw from the bout citing a bacterial chest infection and a fractured rib. Instead, Paul faced Tyron Woodley in a rematch and knocked out the former UFC champion in a stunning manner to move to a 5-0.

Paul has also recently accused Tommy Fury of faking excuses and wanting to withdraw for a second time.

In another post, Paul said that he had learned that Fury would not fly to the US for a match if his father, John Fury, was not in his corner. Paul said that a media conference to confirm the match was set for next week, which further contributed to his irritation about the difficulties in getting the match finalized.

Paul (5-0, 4KOs) has been negotiating a rescheduled showdown against Tommy Fury for the past few weeks, and he turned to Twitter to vent about Tyson Fury‘s half-brother’s failure on committing to the match.

  • Co-headlining an August 6 PPV event will be Jake Paul vs. Tommy Fury.
  • Amanda Serrano (42-2-1, 30KOs), the current WBC/WBO/IBO featherweight champion, will also fight in one of the two co-main events. However, her opponent is still unsure.

Dozens of new matches were mentioned in relation to Jake Paul in the lead-up to his return. There have been rumors of matches between the YouTuber and boxing legend Mike Tyson or MMA fighter Nate Diaz. Nevertheless, it appears like Tommy Fury is finally happening for August 6.
