Who is the strongest Seraphim in One Piece? A comprehensive power analysis

The introduction of the Seraphim to the world of One Piece has shaken up the power scales more than any group since the Warlords themselves. Dr. Vegapunk boldly claimed that these man-made super soldiers represented the pinnacle of human potential, superior even to the mighty Lunarians from which their DNA originates.

So far, the Seraphim have lived up to the hype. They managed to stand their ground against Teach and his crew, even if the Emperor did turn out to be a whole class above them. This puts their strength on par with the top tiers of the world.

Yet even amongst their ranks, some Seraphim clearly stand above the rest in combat ability.

We’ve analyzed all of the clash, attacks, and showings from the Seraphim thus far in order to definitively rank their might. Can media darling Mihawk maintain his title as the World’s Strongest Swordsman against his doppelganger’s assault? Does Lunarian ancestry give Kuma the edge over the real Mihawk? And does anyone truly match the raw power wielded by Jinbei?

Join us as we break fighting styles, Devil Fruits, and more to determine where each of these human weapons of mass destruction fall on the One Piece power scales. By the end, you’ll have no doubts about who ranks as the strongest Seraphim revealed in One Piece so far.

4) One Piece: S-Shark might be the weakest Seraphim

  • As the only incomplete Seraphim we’ve seen so far, S-Shark unfortunately ranks at the bottom of the pack in terms of overall strength. Still sitting at a mere 98% completion when the Straw Hats infiltrated Egghead, S-Shark lacked those final adjustments that could have put his power on par with his doppelganger Jinbe.

This isn’t to say that even an unfinished S-Shark isn’t a formidable foe. His mastery of Fish-Man Karate and the cloned Sui Sui no Mi grants him immense mobility and offensive power. Both Sanji and Robin’s attacks barely slowed him down, showcasing the insane endurance these Pacifistas possess.

  • However, S-Shark has yet to unleash any named or high-level techniques of his own. He overpowered the weaker Straw Hats through raw power, but seemed lacking in actual skill or finesse compared to the real Jinbe. And while the Sui Sui no Mi pairs well with Fish-Man Karate, it pales in versatility next to Jinbe’s skill with Fish-Man Jujutsu.

With the aid of those final adjustments, S-Shark may have shot up our rankings. But as it stands, his incomplete state leaves him inferior to the more polished Seraphim in combat ability. S-Shark has all the tools – he just needs that last bit of refinement to properly utilize them against top tier foes. Until then though, he brings up the rear on any Seraphim strength list.

3) Boa Hancock’s Seraphim S-Snake pales in comparison to the Pirate Empress

At first glance, S-Snake appears to match or even exceed the combat potency of her template, the Pirate Empress herself. With the raw power of ancient Lunarian lineage fueling the deadly Mero Mero no Mi, S-Snake’s petrification beams can freeze even strong warriors in their tracks. Her machine-enhanced reflexes and endurance should also give her an edge over Hancock in certain areas.

  • However, when analyzed more closely, S-Snake lacks several key strengths that make Boa Hancock such a formidable force on the high seas. For one, she does not radiate the same overwhelming beauty or force of personality that allows Hancock to weaponize lust against the vast majority of foes. S-Snake’s childlike appearance actually hinders the effectiveness of her Devil Fruit, as few would view the Seraphim’s form with attraction or desire.
  • This limits the scope of fighters vulnerable to petrification, unlike Hancock who can enthral hordes of Marine subordinates or veteran New World pirates alike. S-Snake’s emotionless, robotic manner of speech also fails to deliver the authoritative, irresistible commands that Hancock employs to dominate others’ wills.

While certainly ruthless and powerful in her own right, S-Snake simply cannot inspire the sheer awe and influence over allies and enemies alike that Hancock does with ease. When combined with Hancock’s masterful Armament Haki and skill at all three types of Haki, the edge definitively goes to the original over her Pacifista copy. The Pirate Empress remains in a league of her own.

2) Seraphim S-Bear is a miniature Pacifista

As one of the few Seraphim directly based on an existing Pacifista model, S-Bear enters the field boasting prior research and battle data to enhance his deadly skills. His diminutive size hides the raw power granted by the replicated Nikyu Nikyu no Mi within that deceivingly adorable frame.

  • Much like his source, the real Kuma, S-Bear can repel anything – physical attacks, elements like flame or lightning, even abstract concepts such as pain and fatigue. His ability to teleport people and objects also provides unmatched mobility and disruption.
  • We’ve yet to witness S-Bear unleash Kuma’s most devastating move, Ursus Shock, but given what we’ve seen the Seraphim accomplish so far, we’ve no doubt S-Bear can obliterate groups of foes when necessary. And of course, as with all Seraphim, his machine-enhanced Lunarian physiology renders him practically impervious to conventional damage.

All said, the combination of versatile offense/defense and physical resilience definitely places S-Bear amongst the upper echelon of Seraphim fighters. The key advantage Kuma’s model offers over other Seraphim is simply how much data and insight Vegapunk already possessed on his abilities. Augmented with Green Blood and awakened genes, this little bear has big shoes to fill – but the potential to become an even more frightening beast than Pacifista Kuma when fully mastered!

1) S-Hawk is the Strongest Seraphim in One Piece

At the apex of Vegapunk’s living weapons resides the greatest swordsman to ever live – or at least, his cyborg doppelganger. S-Hawk earns the top spot amongst the Seraphim ranks through embodying the strength that allowed Dracule Mihawk to stand uncontested for decades.

  • True to his template, S-Hawk wields masterful bladework capable of slicing through whole mountains with a casual swing. His imitation of Mihawk’s legendary black sword further cements him as the strongest Seraphim swordsman by far. And much like Mihawk himself, S-Hawk emerged from an all-out brawl with several of Blackbeard’s titans utterly unscathed.
  • Now augment Mihawk’s peerless skill with the resilience granted by ancient Lunarian DNA, the ability to wield flames, and the potential for even further enhancements. S-Hawk retains the capacity to improve much like his former human basis Zoro, until one day surpassing even the real Mihawk’s might.

For now, S-Hawk handily defeats multiple Blackbeard commanders that each pushed Red-Haired Shanks’ crew to the brink. Portrayal places him clearly above fellow Seraphim and Warlord proxies. And narratively, only the World’s Strongest Swordsman and his rightful heir warrant standing as S-Hawk’s final obstacles. For all these reasons, none can currently match the perfect fusion of Mihawk’s strength and Vegapunk’s science within the Seraphim’s greatest creation.

Conclusion:

The introduction of the Seraphim has shaken up the balance of power in the One Piece world. They have already proven their incredible strength by defeating top fighters with little effort. They seem even more powerful and resilient than the Lunarians or normal Pacifistas. Our rankings show S-Hawk at the top through inheriting the world’s greatest swordsman Mihawk’s skills. S-Bear and S-Snake also wield extreme versatility and lethal powers. Even unfinished S-Shark easily overwhelmed strong Straw Hats.

So while the full capabilities of the Seraphim remain unknown, they are sure to leave a lasting impact. Both pirates and the World Government would be wise to view these weapons as major threats.
