Playtest
Season: 3
Episode: 2
Cast: Wyatt Russell
Director: Dan Trachtenberg
Undoubtedly this episode is one of the best psychological horror cinematic experiences we have had. The episode revolves around a guy who is paid to test an augmented-reality game. As the episode progressed the line between the simulation and real life seems to merge and it turns out to be scary.
The thing that makes it horrifying is that the pace of technology right now might just be able to catch this concept shortly. In addition, while you watch this episode you keep thinking about the possibility of this happening to you.
There are a few other episodes like White Christmas, and Black Muesuem that nearly made it to our list. Also, if you enjoy watching Black Mirror, make sure to finish all the seasons and Bandersnatch (the movie) before the release of Black Mirror season 6 in June.
