The wait for Virat Kohli’s 100th Test match is over now. Today morning India’s Hero and Idol of many cricketers, Virat Kohli was honored by the BCCI ahead of the 100th Test match of his international career. King Kohli has become the 12th player from India to complete a Test century. However, it was Kohli’s wife, Anushka Sharma, that got the attention of the audience.
India’s batting veteran and current team head coach Rahul Dravid awarded Kohli, with a special cap, in the presence of his wife and brother.
Anushka Sharma Presence At Kohli’s Felicitation Ceremony
Kohli’s wife Anushka Sharma is a Bollywood actress. But the presence of Anuskha Sharma had created another controversy. This divided twitter into two sections, one side questioning about her presence and others defending and applauding her.
Several people didn’t like the fact that his wife was present on the field. A few fans on Twitter felt that Anushka shouldn’t have been there and demanded a logical explanation for the same.
Can BCCI explain what was Anushka Sharma doing on the field? Is this a family event or an international test match. Don’t make mockery of cricket just to satisfy some inflated egos. pic.twitter.com/VQBX8xS99N

I won't question why Anushka is there but I will question why Anushka is on the ground? She should be in stands. Most family members join the players but they never encroach the playing area before the beginning of the match

However, a few people defended her as well. Some Twitter users pointed out that the wives of players are always there during such ceremonies. Ishant Sharam’s wife was also present during his 100th Test felicitation ceremony.
It was a big occasion for him so it’s normal to bring family out there

“It is a special moment for me. My wife is here and so is my brother. Everyone is very proud. It is indeed a team game and it couldn’t have been possible without you.
Thanks to the BCCI as well. In present-day cricket, with the amount we play with three formats and an ITL, the one takeaway the next generation can take from me is that I played 100 games in the purest format.” – Virat Kohli
It was a great achievement for India as well for King Kohli. However, the wait for the 71st century is yet not over.
