The Valorant Champions 2022 tournament is well underway with a roster of different teams all fighting for that title. If you want to keep up with the Valorant Champions 2022 tournament, here are the results so far as well as the updated schedule.
Like we said, different teams are part of the roster for this year’s VCT and we’re more than looking forward to what each team can bring to the table. Read on to find out more about the VCT 2022.
Valorant Champions Tour 2022 participating teams
The Champions tournament takes place in Istanbul, Turkey but sadly, Acend isn’t part of this year’s tournament. After suffering a significant loss at the VCT EMEA Last Chance Qualifier, Acend won’t be participating at the VCTs.
But that doesn’t mean you won’t be in for a treat this year. A mixture of prominent and on-the-rise teams are part of this year’s Valorant Champions Tour.
Some familiar names are OpTic Gaming and Paper Rex. On the other hand, there are teams making their debut on the international stage like Indonesia’s BOOM Esports.

Valorant Champions Tour 2022 groupings and bracket
The first day of the Valorant Champions Tour 2022 ended earlier today which means there is a week left until the playoffs begin. So far, the competing teams have given their all and displayed impressive game sense and team plays.
Moreover, the teams are divided into groups wherein they play against each other in a GSL style bracket. If a team wins, they have the chance to face off against other winning teams to earn the top spot in the group.
As for losing teams, they have a chance to redeem themselves in elimination matches. Moreover, they fight against another losing team to secure their spot in the group. All matches will follow a best of three style.

As for how teams will face off against each other, they will first challenge those in the same groups. Below is an overview of the group stage bracket which show the teams that will face off first before moving on to battle others in the same group.
These standings will be updated over time as the first day has just wrapped up. So far, the teams with a win are Leviatan and Paper Rex.
VCT 2022 schedule and results

As of now, the first day saw Paper Rex and Leviatan dominating their enemies. However, Leviatan proved to be undefeated against Liquid as they managed to defeat the opposing team in just two maps.

After September 8, the Valorant Champions Tour 2022 will move onto the playoffs. The bracket for the second part of this year’s tournament will be announced after the first part wraps up.
September 18 is when the final match takes place for this year’s Valorant tournament. For the grand final, the participating teams have to beat each other in a best-of-five series.
