The 2023-2024 NBA season just got a whole lot better with the addition of the all-new NBA Cup, the In-season tournament. Teams competed on a high level against each other in order to reach a new coveted title during the regular season. It’s been an exciting journey so far, but we’re now down to the last four contenders for the semi-finals.

In-season tournament: What’s in it for the victorious NBA teams?
The stage is already set for the final four semi-finalists and everyone in Las Vegas is already feeling pumped. Aside from an exhilarating competition, winning teams will be getting monetary incentives, which will be given to each member of their roster. Below are the final details for the prize of the In-season tournament winners:
- In-season tournament champions will receive a championship title and trophy as well as a $500,000 prize money for each of the team’s players
- Each member of the Second-place team will also receive a $200,000 bonus
- Meanwhile, the remaining teams who were knocked out during the semi-finals will also be guaranteed a $100,00 incentive
A $500,000 bonus will be a huge paycheck for two-way players or players who are currently on a minimum. Although it may just seem like a usual day in the office for the likes of LeBron James, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard, and Zion Williamson, this kind of incentive will be a huge boost in morale for the rest of the players who are also looking to make extra money before the playoffs begin.
West semi-finals: Los Angeles Lakers vs New Orleans Pelicans
The Western Conference is stacked right now, but the In-Season West semifinals are now up to the Los Angeles Lakers and the New Orleans Pelicans. LeBron James and Anthony Davis will face off against the Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram duo on December 7, whose winner will reach the first-ever In-season tournament finals.
