Vice + BBC Documentary

Vice World News has made an explosive documentary centered around Andrew Tate and his exploits.  The BBC has acquired the documentary titled “The Dangerous Rise of Andrew Tate” for distribution. It is now available on BBC’s streaming service iPlayer.

The documentary intends to give voice to women who were allegedly abused by Andrew Tate and offers a deeper look into his Romanian mansion where he was arrested. Reporter Matt Shea goes all in, in an attempt to uncover Andrew Tate’s dark side.

Andrew Tate’s War Room

The Vice documentary also explores Andrew Tate’s War Room, a secret circle like Fight Club where men train themselves against each other in the ring. Members could spar against Tate himself and then fight against a trained MMA fighter.

The reporter talks in great lengths about how the participating men in the War Room seemed to be emotionally broken by women.  

Arrest and allegations

Tate is currently in jail in Romania for allegations of human trafficking, rape, and forming an organized crime group to exploit women.

  • In the documentary, reporter Matt Shea talks to some women victims who were allegedly raped, beaten, and abused by Andrew Tate.
  • While Tate has denied all the allegations, Shea and the documentary’s makers have been receiving constant death threats from the Top G’s followers.

Misogyny and masculinity

Tate’s statements about women have always met with criticism and backlash. He has often stated things like women should be submissive to men and that they should be thin in order to be attractive. 

  • Furthermore, Andrew Tate has received a lot of hate for promoting masculinity by encouraging men to be aggressive, dominant, and emotionally repressed.
  • He has suggested that men who express emotions are weak and that they should not show vulnerability.

Social media behavior

Andrew Tate’s behavior on social media has been erratic since forever. He has been vocal about his dangerous ideas even from his jail cell in Romania. Before his arrest, he indulged in a war of words against environmentalist Greta Thunberg on Twitter.

Tate once made a video of himself throwing a homeless person’s belongings into a river. This video caused a lot of outrage and many people wanted him to answer for his actions.

Andrew Tate has received hate for his frequent use of social media to make offensive and controversial statements. He has made comments about race, gender, and mental health that have been deemed offensive and harmful.
