Wolfenstein Youngblood’s Switch Version Is “A Miracle” According To The Developers
Nintendo Switch is an excellent console that is enjoying great success, month after month. Regardless of everything, however, the Kyoto home console came onto the market with less hardware than its competitors. On the multi-platform side, therefore, Switch struggles to keep up, given that conversions are often complex, if not impossible. Wolfenstein Youngblood, for example, will be able to approve on the Nintendo gaming machine, but the conversion, according to the developers, is a real “miracle”.
In case you don’t know, Wolfenstein Youngblood was not developed in Switch version directly from MachineGames and from Arkane Studios. The game is in the hands of Panic Button, who is not at their first experience. They have already converted a couple of other titles from Bethesda, including Wolfenstein II. However, the technical level rises and the porting becomes more difficult. It was therefore not easy to complete the job.
Wolfenstein Youngblood executive producer Jerk Gustafsson talks about it . Here are his words:
“I am always impressed by the Panic Button guys, who can achieve such results is a miracle. We pushed the engine as much as possible with this game. Obviously, we also did it with Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. These guys are sorcerers. It is truly an honor to work with them. I am very happy that it was possible to bring Youngblood to Switch”.
It, therefore, appears that the conversion of Wolfenstein Youngblood has gone perfectly smooth.
