Obviously, this has become quite the issue in the community, as players turned to online forums like Reddit to find a solution.
Can you turn it off?
Unfortunately, most gamers have found that you cannot turn off the Chromatic Aberration feature in Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Though other games that have this feature allow players to customize their graphics, Ubisoft was unable to predict that this is a problem their players will run into.

According to Reddit users, they have tried digging in the game’s files to somehow find a hidden option that will allow you to customize Mirage’s graphics. Much to their disappointment, it’s impossible to tweak the settings and completely turn this pesky feature off.
Another user also shared their experience that this visual effect ultimately makes Mirage unplayable for them.
Some players have proposed using the Iconic Color Filter in the Screen settings. Though this isn’t much, it sort of helps relieve some of the visual problems brought about by Chromatic Aberration. But at the end of the day, the feature is there to bring back the nostalgia of the earlier titles in the franchise.
Fingers crossed for an update
With all that being said, we’re hoping that Ubisoft might see these complaints and include the option to turn it off or reduce it in a possible update. This is clearly becoming a widespread issue among Assassin’s Creed Mirage players, so it’s best if they release a patch or come up with a solution that will resolve the complaints.
