Amid the claims that Bernardo and Andrea Brillantes, the alleged third party behind the split claims, have unfollowed each other on Instagram, the former’s friends reportedly follow suit and unfollow Padilla on the said platform. Though this only adds more fuel to the fire, the parties involved, like film director Cathy Garcia-Sampana, have broken their silence and reacted, denying the unfollowing claims.

Following the news that Kathryn Bernardo and Andrea Brillantes have unfollowed each other on Instagram, there are claims that the 27-year-old’s friends have also cut their communication with the young actress.
Eagled-eyed fans noted Loisa Andalio and Miles Ocampo unfollowed Andrea on the platform. The two are known to be friends of Kathryn. Loisa became friends with the A Very Good Girl star when she and Daniel visited Pinoy Big Brother, in which she was one of the former housemates, in 2015, while Miles had worked together with Kathryn in the gag show Going Bulilit in 2006.

Robi Domingo is also said to have unfollowed both Andrea and Daniel. The TV host has been friends with the couple and is recently together with Joshua Garcia, Ria Atayde, and Zanjoe Marudo when they visited Japan last year.

However, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), Robi Domingo quickly denied the claims, asking everyone to check the facts before believing in something.

Cathy Garcia-Sampana also broke her silence on the rumors that she had unfollowed Daniel after netizens saw that the actor wasn’t on the list of the people she had been following while Kathryn was still there. Daniel, too, has been following Cathy until today.
Many wonder why Cathy isn’t following Daniel, considering the two have a close working relationship. The filmmaker directed three TV series of KathNiel, like 2015’s Got to Believe, 2017’s Pangako Sa ‘Yo, and 2017’s La Luna Sangre, and two box office films, 2014’s She’s Dating the Gangster and 2018’s The Hows of Us.
So, to address the issue about her allegedly unfollowing Daniel, Cathy said his name would never appear in her following list as she hadn’t followed Daniel from the start. She also stressed that she’s only following about 20 people, and she doesn’t know what Danie’s real Instagram account is.

The claims began when Ogie Diaz revealed in his blog on November 8 that a source claimed that Daniel and Andrea were secretly seeing each other. He also cited the alleged breakup rumors between the two, and Andrea had something to do with it.
Though he stressed that the claim wasn’t confirmed, it quickly went viral and instantly made it to the headlines. This also resulted in a backlash, with KathNiel and Andrea’s fans calling Ogie a fake news peddler.

So far, no one between the three has broken their silence about these claims and remains mum about the issue. The three worked together in the 2015 TV series Pangako Sa ‘Yo, where Andrea played Daniel’s younger sister.
