After hours of trying to defeat both Margit and Godrick in Elden Ring, you’re ready for a breather. Nevertheless, the issue with both of these monsters is that Elden Ring makes it appear that you are stuck until you kill both. Limgrave’s lands may be explored even if you have yet to beat these two bosses there yet. So what if we inform you that there was a way around these two monsters?
Margit and Godrick may be skipped entirely. But of course, in order to complete the game, you’ll have to return and take on the game’s bosses later.

The good thing is, avoiding Margit and Godrick initially allows you an opportunity to wander the northern areas, level up your hero, and stock up on stronger and better equipment before returning to face the monsters again head-on.
How To Skip?
- Taking a side route off the usual path is the only way to avoid Stormveil Castle. You’ll find this road immediately before the castle. By using the Site of Grace known as “Stormhill Shack,” you can go quickly to the detour.
- After arriving at the hut, proceed north down the road that leads off of it, and avoid turning left to return to the castle. Keep walking north and under the large bridge. After a while, you’ll come across a smaller bridge with an NPC seated on a chair.
- You may also have a conversation with the NPC. There is, however, a wrecked bridge nearby. This isn’t a problem, since you may immediately turn left below some debris and enter a wooded area. Continue the forest’s route, which can be a little tight from time to time. If you’re on Torrent, you’ll be able to evade most of the attackers that are out to get you in this area.
- The “Liurnia of the Lakes” region, which lies past Stormveil Castle, will ultimately be reached. This is the next area of Elden Ring and was earlier only available if you defeat Margit and Godrick. However, now that you’ve bypassed those bosses, you’re free to explore the entire enchanted area! 🥳
