In Hogwarts Legacy, players have the freedom to choose which among the Houses they want to join. Here are all Houses in Hogwarts Legacy.
What are Houses in Hogwarts Legacy?
If a wizard or witch enrolls in Hogwarts, they are sorted into different groups called Houses. Moreover, these houses are named after the founders of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The founders are Godric Gryffindor, Salazar Slytherin, Helga Hufflepuff, and Rowena Ravenclaw. Additionally, the Sorting Hat assigns students to these Houses based on their personalities and whatever talent they possess.
For the average Harry Potter fan, Ron, Hermione, and Harry get into Gryffindor after arriving at Hogwarts. However, Harry Potter was supposed to get sorted into Slytherin. But when the Sorting Hat heard Harry muttering and asking to get into any House except for Slytherin. Then, the Sorting Hat decided to put him into Gryffindor.
As mentioned earlier, players have the freedom to choose which House they want to be part of in Hogwarts Legacy. And just like in the books and movies, every House has its own Common Room. But other than the breathtaking Common Rooms we got a glimpse of in Hogwarts Legacy, Houses are important because here, you’ll find like-minded people who can aid you on your journey.

Gryffindor House
For witches and wizards who are in Gryffindor, they are those who uphold bravery and chivalry. According to Harry Potter lore, Godric Gryffindor instructed the Sorting Hat to choose those who possess the following traits: courage, chivalry, nerve, and determination. Its emblem displays a roaring lion with scarlet and gold as its colors.
Famous Gryffindors – Harry Potter, Minerva McGonagall, and Albus Dumbledore
Element – Fire
Slytherin House
Students in Slytherin are those who uphold leadership and resourcefulness by being cunning. Its emblem features a serpent with emerald green and silver as its colors. If you are familiar with the Death Eaters and Dark Wizards in Harry Potter, most of them come from the Slytherin House. However, the wiki for Harry Potter also mentioned that other Dark Wizards and Death Eaters come from other Houses and not just Slytherin.

Hufflepuff House
Those in the Hufflepuff House are wizards and witches who uphold fairness, hard work, and patience. The emblem for Hufflepuff features a badger with yellow and black as its colors. According to the Wizarding World, Hufflepuff has the least number of Dark Wizards among all Houses in Hogwarts. Moreover, the students in Hufflepuff are described as the most trustworthy and hardworking students.
Famous Hufflepuffs – Newt Scamander, Hengist of Woodcroft, Cedric Diggory
Element – Earth
Ravenclaw House
For students in Ravenclaw, they uphold intelligence, curiosity, creativity, and knowledge among everything else. Its emblem features an eagle with blue and bronze for its colors. If you are a Ravenclaw, you are creative and independent. And unlike the other Common Rooms, the door for Ravenclaw requires you to answer a riddle before you can enter. For other Common Rooms, you have to utter a secret password. But for Ravenclaws, it’s still a display of their wit and intelligence as they answer a riddle.
Famous Ravenclaws – Gilderoy Lockhart, Luna Lovegood, Xenophilius Lovegood
