Lots of exciting news was announced at the Gamescom Opening Night Live 2022. One of these is an update on where we are at with Hogwarts Legacy. The team behind the game has revealed the different versions of Hogwarts Legacy, one of this being the Collector’s Edition.
On the other hand, a Digital Deluxe Edition is also going to be available. However, the contents of the Collector’s Edition are obviously more exclusive. Hogwarts Legacy – Collector’s Edition offers more than the Digital Deluxe Edition
From the name itself, the Digital Deluxe Edition is available for players who decide to buy a digital copy of the game. Moreover, this edition of Hogwarts Legacy includes different kinds of in-game cosmetics which will only be available for those who decide to pre-order the game.
As of writing, Avalanche Software nor Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has released a final price for the Digital Deluxe Edition.

However, there is no final price tag on Hogwarts Legacy – Collector’s Edition. But according to rumors, players who are interested to buy this version of the game should set aside around $300 USD.
From what we know so far, the Collector’s Edition includes most of the items included in the Digital Deluxe Edition. What makes the two different is its inclusions of real-life merchandise for the game.
What can we expect in the Collector’s Edition of the game?
As we mentioned, the contents of this edition will automatically include everything that is part of the Digital Deluxe Edition. However, this is more premium since it will also give players real merchandise from Hogwarts Legacy.

Is this version worth buying?
Personally, we think it’s not worth the $300 USD price tag that this edition is rumored to have. If you’re not a full-on collector of Hogwarts Legacy, you may want to opt for the Digital Deluxe Edition instead.

Other fans think that it the Collector’s Edition of Hogwarts Legacy is not worth it, too. Following the announcement, the Collector’s Edition was met with negative reviews. According to most of the comments we’ve seen so far, they feel like buying the Digital Deluxe Edition is more worth it.
Nonetheless, it’s still up to you whether you’ll buy the Collector’s Edition. And who knows, maybe that’s not the final price tag.

Hogwarts Legacy is releasing soon on the PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. According to Avalanche Software, the game comes out on February 7 for those who opted for pre-ordering.
As for gamers who didn’t pre-order the Digital Deluxe or Collector’s Edition, Hogwarts Legacy releases on February 10.
