Will BLACKPINK contract renewal news arrive soon?

Recently, fans found out that the managers of Lisa and Jennie have left the agency through their LinkedIn updates. They are also speculating that the members are not going to continue with their agency from their recent hiatus and solo projects. However, YG Entertainment has continued to claim that they are in discussion with the members and nothing is final yet.
Due to the repeating updates, fans have become confused and tired. In this situation, BABYMONSTER’s debut details began to surface online. The group’s member Ahyeon was reported to step down from the lineup until it was confirmed that she would simply sit out the debut album to focus on her health.
This PR management has started a fire of suspicion among the netizens who are wondering if YG Entertainment doesn’t wish to announce the departure of BLACKPINK until their new girl group debuts. Read some of their reactions below.

Hmmm maybe this could be the case maybe because Babymonster has not debuted yet maybe this is the reason on why they have not said anything about Blackpink’s contract renewal yet.

Are the two news connected?
It is well-known that BLACKPINK’s contract has a powerful impact on the company’s share prices. A few months ago when the first rumor of Lisa’s departure was published, the agency’s stocks significantly suffered.

It also makes more sense that the company would have begun discussing the contract renewal months ahead of its expiration especially as they have a limited number of active groups. It isn’t surprising to see artists renew their contracts months or even a year ahead in the 3rd generation. This makes fans’ doubts about the agency understandable.
Secondly, the detrimental effects of BLACKPINK’s disbandment or departure can overshadow the debuting group. This is also one of the speculations of why YGE is centering all its efforts on the debut of BABYMONSTER. The group is not only their first girl group in seven years but also a link for continuing their successful legacy as a member of the ‘Big 4.’
By keeping all of that in mind, we can conclude that while it isn’t directly confirmed that YGE is allegedly holding the contract renewal announcements of BLACKPINK until BABYMONSTER’s debut; it is also difficult to strongly deny them.
