Latest leaks apparently confirm Red Dead Redemption 1 PC release

Red Dead Redemption 1 PC release apparently in sight, says Twitter leaks

In what is an astonishing development, after almost two years since its PS4 and Nintendo Switch announcement, it seems Read Dead Redemption 1 PC Release has finally seen the light of the day – amidst Rockstar already being in the leads for upcoming GTA VI development.

This happens in a Tweet by a fellow user, which is, as we speak, receiving tremendous clout – as fans flood in commenting multiple diverse opinions. Here’s what the tweet is about –

A leak affirms the possibility of finally having Red Dead Redemption 1 PC release

The news was broken out a few minutes ago prior to the writing of this article, whereby we see Twitter (X) user Tez2 posting what seems to be a script containing an advertising text, mentioning that Red Dead Redemption and its zombie-horror spin-off Undead Nightmare, both will be coming to the PC release.

Through a year full of leaks containing GTA VI footage, and finally confirmation of the same, the otherwise heavily indulgent fanbase had been quite quiet about any possibility of Red Dead Redemption’s PC release. Ever since it was confirmed for PS4 and Nintendo Switch releases back in 2023, most news headlines back then read, quite poignantly at that too – no PC release in sight’.

The fans were sorrowfully left without any hope. Yet it seems exactly when there seemed no relevancy for RDR 1st’s PC release, there comes that very potential knocking. However, one warning to heed as always is how it is still a Twitter leak, and affirming any confirmation of the same should be reserved as a ‘possibility’ and not concretely definitive. We will however, keep you updated with any possible leads of actual confirmation by Rockstar on this.

Red Dead Redemption PC release is still relevant years later despite its successor’s success and the upcoming GTA VI hype

However, if this leak is to be granted any validity, such a grim scenario for fans is to change. Despite Red Dead Redemption 2 having made it through all the major platforms and landing multiple prominent awards and even Game of The Year, the classic original still seems to retain all the hype – as made evident by the reactions of the people in the tweet mentioned above.

However, many X users are still quite sceptical, noting that ‘they won’t take it’ until and unless there is an obvious official announcement. However, as a tinge of good note, many made similar remarks back when GTA VI was first leaked.

The leak might likely be real

The leaked script does not hint at much as seen evidently. It only seems to be an advertising promo containing the message of Red Dead Redemption PC release finally coming to be, with phrases like ‘Sprawling expanses of the American West and Mexico” hyping users for what has to be a promotional campaign.

  • As of now, we have not seen any reaction from Rockstar yet. However, the tweet is still in development as of the current update of this article, so depending upon how this goes in the future, we may just have to wait and see it out.
  • But unlike the GTA VI leaks which contained over 90 video footage and multiple pictures, this one is still just a ‘script‘ leak, hence demanding less attention from Rockstar. For all purposes concerned, until more information comes out, and until Rockstar is not planning the PC release of RDR any time soon, they seem to have less incentive to react, so do mind that.

Red Dead Redemption 1 still a classic pop culture phenomenon?

For all reasons concerned, Red Dead Redemption, whose development itself spanned over five years, and came out almost a decade and a half ago, is easily today one of pop culture’s most revered storylines. Part of this success is also due to Arthur Morgan’s story the spiritual successor to this game, literally RDR2. The successor has, however, only strengthened people’s longing to re-indulge into the world of John Marston.

And with Rockstar having experimented with GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas remasters, it seems the upcoming PC release will see some potential graphic developments.

(Although one has to pardon my mentioning of the remaster here, considering they were considered a critical failure, hence why I used ‘experimented’ and not ‘succeeded’, with their GTA remaster failure, Rockstar is likely to implore improvement).

This story is development, stay tuned for more.
