Loki Season 2 Episode 4 has left fans in suspense about the fates of the characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe series. As the Temporal Loom crisis comes to a head, it’s essential to distinguish between the deceased and those likely to return in the upcoming episode.
Throughout Loki Season 2, Loki, Mobius, and their TVA allies have been working to fix the overloaded Temporal Loom, a situation exacerbated by the multiverse’s creation due to Sylvie’s actions in killing He Who Remains. Luckily, Episode 4 finds them attempting to adjust the Loom with the help of Victor Timely. On the other hand, the series also confirmed that there are consequences to everyone’s actions, and some of them mean permanent death.
Loki Season 2 Episode 4 Features Major MCU Casualties
In Episode 4, O.B. formulates a plan to address the looming crisis, enlisting the aid of Loki, Mobius, and an unexpected ally Victor Timely. Their strategy involves temporarily deactivating Miss Minutes using Loki and Sylvie’s magic, which would facilitate a system reboot for the TVA. However, things take a dark turn as Ravonna Renslayer and Miss Minutes decide to seize control of the TVA. This leads to the demise of several characters, with some likely gone for good.
General Dox and her Minutemen Killed by Renslayer and Miss Minutes
During the episode, Renslayer returns to the TVA and offers a deal to General Dox and her team, promising them a life on the timeline if they assist her in taking control of the TVA. While X-5, known as Brad Wolfe, accepts Renslayer’s offer, Dox and the others refuse. As a result, Renslayer employs the machine Loki used to torture Brad in Episode 2 to eliminate them.
Given that their deaths occur before the Temporal Loom explosion, and the relatively minor roles they played in Season 2, it’s probable that they won’t return. Nevertheless, considering the existence of the multiverse, the possibility of encountering variants of these characters remains.
On a chilling note, Miss Minutes is the only one who is happy about the massacre. Both Renslayer and X-5 are disturbed by the screams but the AI clock is enjoying every minute of it.
Victor Timely Gets A Swift End in Loki Season 2 Episode 4
At the episode’s conclusion, Victor Timely volunteers to fix the Temporal Loom. Tragically, as he enters the room housing the Loom, he’s swiftly exposed to a substantial amount of temporal radiation emitted by the time stream.
His demise is depicted as disintegration, evoking OB’s warning from Episode 1 about the grim fate of having one’s skin peeled off, although the outcome appears more akin to being turned into spaghetti. In any case, it appears that Victor Timely has met his end. Nevertheless, fans believe that another version of Timely could appear in the MCU.
Did Everyone at the TVA Just Die?
As for the remaining characters, the Temporal Loom explosion has caused something catastrophic. If OB’s prediction comes to fruition, everyone in the room, along with the entire TVA, has perished. However, it’s safe to assume that most, if not all, of these characters will return. Moreover, many of them are featured in scenes from Loki Season 2 trailers that have not yet appeared in Episodes 1-4, making their return highly probable.
The group includes Loki, Hunter B-15, and Casey, and it’s likely that Mobius, Sylvie, and OB will also make a comeback. While trailer footage may sometimes be deceptive, it’s improbable that Loki would eliminate its entire cast with two episodes left in the season.

Episode 4 also featured several characters being pruned, which was initially perceived as death. However, the first season of Loki already confirmed that one ends up in the Void that hides the Citadel at the End of Time. This means that the early version of Loki (who the God of Mischief pruned himself), D-90, and Renslayer were only sent to the Void and are likely to return next week.
