Loki Season 2 is off to an exciting start as the God of Mischief attempts to prevent himself from “time slipping” all over the Time Variance Authority (TVA). The premiere also introduced the charming and knowledgeable Ouroboros, aka O.B., who is played by Ke Huy Quan. It has already been established that the Marvel Cinematic Universe series would introduce Quan into the franchise, but it’s hardly his first involvement with a comic book project. A new video is going viral after fans discovered that the Everything Everywhere All at Once star had previously worked on an X-Men film!
Ke Huy Quan hardly needs an introduction. He started out as a child star in the 1980s, playing Short Round in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and Data in The Goonies. Although he stayed out of the limelight for some time, Quan remained in Hollywood to work as a stunt choreographer and assistant director.
Ke Huy Quan and His Unexpected X-Men Connection
Only a few knew that Quan was still in Hollywood for some time, so his lead role in Everything Everywhere All at Once is perceived as a major comeback. However, a behind-the-scenes video from 2000’s X-Men is making the rounds on social media since it reveals Quan as the assistant stunt coordinator choreographing a significant fight.

In the video, Quan is shown directing two stunt doubles for Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine. Since its release, fans can’t stop talking about how cool Quan is for staying in Hollywood this entire time. They also pointed out that Quan should be referred to as more than just a “Loki star,” considering he won an Oscar for his performance in EEAAO (but that’s a different story).
The video’s release once again put Loki Season 2 in the news, and people are wondering what the future holds for Ke Huy Quan’s character. Will O.B. be another charming face in the TVA, or is he important to the main storyline?
Who is Ke Huy Quan’s O.B., and What Is His Role in Loki Season 2?
In Loki Season 2, Ouroboros is the chief engineer of the TVA. Because he deals with the maintenance and repair of all the complex tools, O.B. lives in the basement, where he constantly repairs time-travel devices. Interestingly, the premiere confirmed that he has been around for more than 400 years, which is sad considering that he appears to have no friends to visit him in the basement.
Loki’s “time-slipping” problem might be the one thing that could change that. In the first episode alone, O.B. finds the dangerous solution to the God of Mischief’s situation and appears to leave the basement for the first time in a long time. Considering the character’s vast knowledge about the TVA (due in part to being stuck there for more than 400 years), he could prove to be an important ally to Loki and Mobius as they set out to find Sylvie.
So, can we expect to see more of Ke Huy Quan in Loki Season 2? The hopeful answer is yes, and it’s unlikely that Loki and Mobius can fix things on their own. On the other hand, it looks like most of O.B.’s scenes that appeared in the trailers have already been seen in the premiere episode. Nevertheless, fans hope that Quan filmed more scenes as TVA’s Mr. Fix It and that he will have a significant role to play in the ongoing storyline.
The premiere episode of Loki Season 2 was titled Ouroboros and is now available on Disney+. The official title for Loki Season 2 Episode 2 has yet to be announced. Nevertheless, the second episode is set to premiere on the streaming service on October 12, 2023.
