Noah Schnapp is again trending online, and no, it’s not about another controversial media post but because of his inclusion in the Forbes 30 Under 30 list. The outlet has now released its 13th annual list to recognize the most successful millennials and Gen Zers today from various industries, including celebrities. And among the 600 individuals on the list, the Stranger Things star made it, leading to a huge backlash on social media.

Several artists, from TV and social media personalities to singers, comedians, actors, and more, have made it on the Forbes 30 Under 30, like Kendall Jenner, Matt Rife, Latto, Jenna Ortega, Reneé Rapp, Dylan Mulvaney, and Ice Spice, to name a few.
The list also includes singer-songwriter Steve Lacey, Kali Uchis, Peso Pluma, Noah Schnapp, Dominic Fike, Drew “Druski” Desbordes, and the playwright Jordan E. Cooper. Though no one reacts to the other people on the list, seeing Schnapp’s name leads to an instant backlash on social media.

According to Forbes, this list is put together by the outlet’s writers and editors and judged by the experts and previous winners, like the podcast creator and host Alex Cooper, the actress Ayo Edebiri, and the athlete Devin Booker.
These people evaluated over 11,000 candidates through different factors, like “funding, revenue, social impact, inventiveness, and potential.”
How did Noah Schnapp make it in the Forbes 30 Under 30 List?
With the recent controversies Noah Schnapp faces, from his post to address the Israeli-Palestinian conflict to the “Zionism is sexy” viral video, many are surprised to see his name in the Forbes 30 Under 30 list.
In his profile on the publication’s website, it noted that aside from his role in Netflix’s Stranger Things, he also has several accomplishments under his belt. The 19-year-old, who won The People’s Choice Award in 2022, has multiple business ventures, like the sustainably focused, protein-rich, hazelnut cocoa spread brand called TBH, which he founded. He also studied at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and earned a Bachelor of Arts/Science.

But despite these things, netizens can’t help but question his part on the list, especially knowing that he has no upcoming projects besides the fifth and final season of Stranger Things. The last movie he did this year was The Tutor, opposite Garrett Hedlund, while his other projects were dated as far back as 2020.
The Noah Schnapp Forbes 30 Under 30 List Backlash
Netizens can’t help but react and question Noah Schnapp’s inclusion in the Forbes 30 Under 30 list. Though his social media pages have been inactive since October 11, 2023, many can’t help but compare his recent activities to the firing of Melissa Barrera from Scream 7 and Susan Sarandon being dropped by her agency after showing their support to the Palestinians, while he has been an open supporter of Israel. And no matter what he says and does, he faces no consequences.
Hence, his part in the Forbes 30 Under 30 list has renewed the talks about how one person can openly discuss their opinion unscathed while others are criticized for doing the same.
them choosing noah schnapp to be on this list when millie, natalia, maya, charlie, joseph, gaten, caleb, finn, priah & sadie are on the cast and under 30 & have done/will continue to do more than he ever will is genuinely so baffling https://t.co/mlGNoxkfMz

On X (formerly Twitter), user @darlingdyer asked why the other Stranger Things cast, like Millie Bobby Brown and Sadie Sink, didn’t make it on the list, considering they have done and will continue to do more than Schnapp ever will.
Another asked why Finn Wolfhard, who has directed and starred in his movie, led the revival of Ghostbusters and voiced an Oscar-winning movie, was chosen over Schnapp.
